what should my calling range be in this spot?
07-09-2014 , 08:35 AM
22+ Ax K2s+ K5o+ Q4s+ Q7o+ J8s+ J9o+ 98s+ if he is shoving his complete range.
if you have seen him r/c or r/f with this stacksize before we have to adjust

Villain is definitely not a good player... hard to say how wide his shoving here.

I think this range is way too loose readless and with 14 BB.

... no it's not
his stats are looking quite fine so i go from (or close to) nash and our calling range is almost the same i gave above

lol almost no-one is that wide here, let alone some guy playing 14/13

I know it's nash... but nash only works against player who uses nash. What reads do we have here that he is a good positional player? none... For example, how is hero being playing? Why would villain use a shove instead of a min\raise. Or how has villain been playing in the SB \ late position so far...Many questions we can't answer...

His stats doesn't look like he's a good player IMO. Look like a weak\tight. His VPIP, PFR and 3bet are too close to each other. Makes me think he's not positionally aware. Those stats look like like someone who only comes in with a raise. Doesn't limp\doesnt call\ doesn't loosen up in blinds. His 3bet and PFR are close to each other tough, so maybe he's the kind of guy that could be overly aggressive and shove here.

Also we don't have a huge hand samples on villain.

I don't know, i might be totally off here. But assuming he has a Nash chart in front of him isn't a default conclusion i would make read less.

That's what i think anyways. If he was 28\22 or something then i could see him been wider in SB.
IMO, 14\13 is't the kind of player to make huge bets with hands like K8, K5s, A2o, JTo type hands. I would put him on suited broadways, Strong Aces, pocket pairs type hands.
