A higher 45man buyin, I would suggest $60 as there are 18mans at this buyin which would fit in with the uniformity in buyins that was introduced last year. This game would definitely run, during peak times and especially on Sundays. They would draw in players SNE chasing for sure as well as mtt players, to add to the 45man player pool.

+1 to a leaderboard/extra incentive for mttsng players. 45man players in particular get NO incentive at all, that ALL other tournament formats somewhat benefit from. It is very hard to even make the freeroll monthly tlb from purely playing 45's.

I'll do my best to address the various concerns and suggestions raised in the thread. I can already see there are some interesting topics for discussion. Sometimes the response may be "Sorry, we can't do that" but I hope players will prefer that response to none at all.

45 man hypers would be awesome. Maybe at the same price point as 180s or 45s. Used to love them at FTP.

I think there is a definite demand for a speed between hyper and turbo. Lets call this faster turbo.

3 min levels, 1500 chips, latereg open first 4 levels, antes start at 50/100
30, 40, 60, 80, 100,
120, 160, 200, 250, 300,
400, 600, 800, 1000, 1200,
1600, 2000, 2400, 3000, 4000
5000, 6000, 8000, 10000, 12000

Tourney starts when 120 people register (6/9 people at each table). Other 60 seats can be lateregged. This will improve turnaround dramatically because once people see the sng has started they will buyin immediately.

You can even make this a "chance" -- let people rebuy if they bust before level 5.

I also think $9.40 + 0.60 is the right pricepoint for rake for these, especially if it is a chance tournament. Call these $10 - [2x-Chance] Special 180 in the lobby. In description mention its special faster structure.

The $3.50s are byfar away the most popular, but believe it or not, the $15s come a close second during peak hours - they are MORE popular than the $7.00s. Basically change all 45/180 mttsng's back to how they were before the upgrade/BF/etc also add a $6/8 180 turbo rebuy to that and the world will be a better place.

what were the buyins/speeds then? wasn't playing at that time.

dont add 5 usd because that may cause traffic problems, i remember about 8 months ago when you added a lot of buyins and traffic was really slow.

I would love 180man hyperturbo with a higher buyin (something like 5-10usd hyperturbo 180man) would be very +ev for my hourly and for small lenght sessions.

in the 180men reg-thread someone asked to introduce a new blindlevel some time ago.

the step from 1k/2k to 1.5k/3k is indeed a little too big. adding a level in between would be nice imo, what do you guys think?

Buyins changed on 6th May 2011 when Stars had a big shake-up of their whole SNG offering — there was an interim period of a few days with some really weird buyins, but that didn't last.

old 180s
turbo - $2+0.20, $7+0.70, $11+1, $33+3
regular - $4+0.40, $10+1, $20+2 (11s went off only 1 or 2 times per day, 22s basically never happened)
turbo rebuy - $3+0.30

and iirc

old 45s
turbo - $1+0.10, $3+0.25, $6+0.50, $11+1, $25+2, $35+3, $55+5, and I think $105+9 (60s were quite rare, 114s pretty much never)
regular - can't remember tbh, but I think $1+0.20 and $5+0.50 and maybe some bigger ones

also huge gaps in the 2.5-8-15-35 system..
would say 2.5-6-11(or12)-25-50(really few care about high stakes mttsngs) ,, there is only an additional buy in(5 i of 4),,so no prob with traffic
lots of players are scared to move higher due to these huge gaps,,
think this change works for both stars and players,,

and most important(rake reduction or (better for you) reward boost) games are dying so give th players some extra motivation,,
