It's the best one to play though.

Not sure where to post this, I figure MTTSNGs since the specific games I'm referring to are all MTTSNGs.

I'm trying to teach my dad to play some poker and I noticed that the micro MTTSNGs have rake ($0.09 + $0.01, $0.23 + $0.02). I recall that these used to be rake-free when I introduced a few other friends to these games (1-2 years ago).

IMO, these games should be 100% rake free. The amateur players who want to try out these games and start from the bottom-up should be have to pay such a massive rake % and be discouraged to play when their bankroll is slowly sucked away. Pokerstars' mission of promoting of the game of poker is not shown with this policy.

The amount of extra money generated from raking these games is immaterial. See below:
$0.10 games @ $0.01 rake x 480 games (one game every 3 minutes --> 24 hours x 20 games per hour) x 365 days x 360 players = $630k
$0.25 games @ $0.02 rake x 720 (one game every 2 minutes --> 24 hours x 30 games per hour) x 365 days x 60 players (45s run more than 90s) = $315k

So combined, Pokerstars is making about $1 million from the rake in these games from my rough estimates (was fairly modest with the games per hour), so the number is in the range of $600k-$1.5 million.

Regardless, even $1.5 million is an immaterial amount for the site and should be willing to give beginner players the best possible experience, which will allow them to learn the game of poker as easy + cheap as possible. Just because there isn't negative responses on 2+2 regarding these changes doesn't make it an accurate reflection of what these players are feeling.

Please consider making these games rake free once again.

35060
410080
5150120
6200160
7250200

Your new payout structure is an amazing idea, but this one...any change to the actual blinds levels will only confuse players. Last change was a disaster.

Get rid of those silly 7r 90mans since nobody bothers with them, and add in what everybody has already asked for! 180 turbo rebuys at a higher buyin the the 3.30s!

like a 5-11 anywhere in between there would be great.

As for blind structure and payouts, i prefer the currently structures and vote against change. I like the top heavyness

my explanation for the higher rebuys is that the 60s that run have such high variance many regs opt to completely avoid them. The swings are just ungodly, introducing a rebuy that can offer a similar buy-in such as 14r or a 7r 180 turbo would mean that people still spew off just as much money in the prizepool if it was the 14 but still keep up volume since regs are happy to join.
7r would bridge the gap between 15s and 35s.

heres another option, 25 hypers 180man sngs?

That players can make a deal by their own. Like you can see on PartyPoker and in the past on FT. It's pretty annoying to get a mod and wait and wait etc.

Walmsley can we please get an "IM READY" button for all MTT final tables?

taking a 5 minute break while you're in the zone crushing the table can throw you off sometimes.

+1 this if you agree

How do you 45m players feel about a blind level structure along these lines:

30
40
60
80
120a
160
200
300
400
500
600
800
1000
1200
1600
2000
2400
3000

Even though not all 45s last till the 3k level, I feel that the 2k-3k jump is far too steep considering the amount of chips in play.

The earlier levels should be appreciated by most recs and prolly some regs as well, especially when combined with antes at bb120.

Please note that this is my extension of Alex Wice's original post regarding structure changes.

alternative suggestion

cut 8s, replace with 5s, as well as 8 rebuys. that makes abi scale 2.5 - 5 - 10 - 15 - 24 - 35 instead of 2.5 - 8 - 10 - 15 - 35

Also, seperate leaderboard for MTTSNGs, cause 180s can't compete for MTT leaderboard
+1

Couple other things I'd like to see added:
-6-max turbo 180 maybe $7
-60-90 man hyper turbos $2, $5, $12

It's a shame the 7r 90 person never runs but I think it's because it just has to be promoted a bit more not many people know about it.

not to mention..... have you read the threads about mods ****ing players in chop discussions.... they are there, and moderators(and ps pros lol) screwing players out of equity during choptalks shouldnt be part of poker

very justified rant:
just recently i watched an incompetent mod effectively screw 2 of 3 players out of a potential chop discussion by repeatedly telling players that they had to form a consensus on "what" and then "what #s" they wanted the mod to show them when they all just kept saying "chop numbers" (duh)(and only after 10 minutes of that request being ignored as insufficient and a player asking what options they had to choose from did the mod say icm, chip chop, or player specified numbers) then only moments after finally knowing what they had to agree on to see #s when the third quieter player who had been letting the others guide the choptalk said "well this isnt going anywhere and im tired lets just play " the mod says "looks like you cant reach an agreement im restarting the tournament"

how the **** are players supposed to know what options they have if the mod doesnt offer them choices and more importantly how is that type of human error from an external unneccessary party an option!!

This is outrageous. Pokerstars professional are totaly desrespecting everyone in this thread. Two weaks already gone and we still dont have an aswer. This is not a normal beahvior for a billions dollars company.

People are begging for new tournaments and they act like client opinnions were not fundamental in the decision process. I hope other big companys like FT start doing competence realy soon so you realise that clients are the most important part of the market.

I bet with everyone in this thread that any new 180 man reg speed will be add and the deal button wont be implemented cause it was my idea.

People, the problem is not the liquidity. The real problem is that a turbo generates the same rake in less time...

don't know if this has been posted yet but:

I'd like an option to auto rebuy AT THE START of any rebuy tournaments. It's so tilting when I'm playing a load of 180s to have to find the 3 rebuys in my stack of 30 and manually rebuy at the start.

+million

An auto add-on and always double rebuy option for all sngs/mtts would also be an awesome addition.

It's pretty frustrating having to start every 3 rebuy by rebuying to 3k and clicking the auto-add on and always double rebuy boxes
