    Hi guys, greeting from UK!

This hand has been bugging me all day so here goes:

we are in the last 50/8k entrants of a $1.10 buy-in 6-max turbo MTT on Pokerstars.

Villain is running 23/15 stats and he made this play the last 2 or 3 hands.

What i was thinking is: the person to our left was 3-betting our steal raises so was very hard to steal the blinds. We have 12bb's, I'm figuring the 88's is basically a coin flip against the range he is doing this with. If we want to win the tournament we cant just pass up coin-flips right?

What would you do if put in this position?

Do you feel this is too light of a call to make and if so why?

Is it better to pass up small +ev plays to preserve our tournament life?

If he shoved 13BBs it would be a pretty clear call but he shoved 35+ into 3 people so his range is going to be somewhat strong (although AA KK QQ are pretty discounted). Close but would fold

Would this do as well?

k2 u can prob profitably raise/fold or jam vs. most
vs most regs the a8 should be fine given he has 7.5bb and you have 5 aka he should be wide (even a tight reg hopefully should be jamming axs most broadways a few sc and maybe even some kxs etc) and we get pretty good pot odds

Hi, can someone give me the link where is written how to right calculate fold equity?
    01-04-2012 , 12:47 PM
been trying to work on BvB push/call ranges in sngwiz, some of the results are surprising me.

for example, pre-ante, with a 4bb stack in SB it said to jam ~70%, but with 14bb i'm getting close to 100%.

what are you guys' thoughts on adjusting edge for the given situation? hypothetically, should we be taking -cev shoves when v. short and require a substantial edge when jamming >10bb?

i know i asked the question before about edge (when shoving) and was advised to set it to 0, but i'm not convinced we should be jamming large amounts of BBs if they're v marginal.

as an aside, reg vs reg (BvB in a $15/180, say), what is a typical reg's calling range to a 10bb shove pre-ante?
    01-09-2012 , 08:06 AM
Does anyone or can you play 180s pretty much for VPP only ?

How many you get on the 8/15/35s ? Are there higher buy ins, I can't look I'm at work.
    01-09-2012 , 09:13 AM
phos that obv depends 100% on the villains calling range you assign. if it says jam 70% with 4bb and 100 at 14, the calling range for 4bb default is really wide and in many cases wider than reality.

edge depends on preferences/stack size/s/your skill level, etc.
for large amounts of bbs usually just fold or raise/fold rather than jam. even if it's profitable to jam. e.g. 20bb bvb with qto or something.

the bvb reg thing pre ante really depends, varies hugely. typical maybe like ax 22 kt k9s but it seriously depends lol

hey guys, is it a standard 16BB shove form SB vs these two laggy/passive players?
I didn't want to start a new thread for it.

does anyone know a decent ROI at the 7$ 9-max turbo's? And what about the 15$ level?

    thanks

This is a 90 man $1.5 Knockout on PS. Because Ive edited the HH it says four players but this was a full table and so it's an UTG raise.. It was a full table. Hero?

please don't edit your HH like that, it makes no sense to me. If it was a full table leave it like that. What's your position? Reads on players? who called and who raised?

Yeah sorry it looks terrible but my HM isnt working so I cant find the hand too easy to repost. I think the question is at a full 9 man table with 30bb at 25/50 when we are UTG+1 vs UTG standard 2.5 bb raise with no reads, do we ship/call/fold? We cant set mine but 1010 seems way behind an UTG raise apart from maybe 2 hands but also too good to just fold.
      01-18-2012 , 03:54 AM
If he's a TAG then call and setmine would be okay imo. TT is not so good if we are at a full table at UTG+1 and decide to 3 bet, there are still 7 players behind us. If we 3 bet with 30BB, then we would probably have to either fold to his 4bet or 5bet ship it, but against a TAG range TT+, AQ+ we have about 40% equity and we will rarely be ahead (32 combos for AQ+, 26 combos for TT+).
What's more, with 30BB stack, 3bet/folding is very bad, so we want to avoid such spots. If you 3bet, then go and go on innocuous flops. I would 3bet ship it if I had 17BB or less.
Btw pushing 30BB here is bad imo. So I think it is call/3bet/fold in that order if you ask. But I never fold this here. Hope this makes sense.

IS SNGWIZ any use for MTTsngs?
      01-26-2012 , 12:06 PM
      Yes
      01-28-2012 , 02:05 PM
does anyone know if in sngwiz you can mass-change overcalling ranges rather than having to type them all out for each player?
      01-29-2012 , 09:13 AM
Hopefully someone with experience in the 2.50-180s can help me out.

I'm considering making the move to play these 2.50 180s, but would like some information about the variance there. Assume I'm a winning player/playing a decent amount of tables, what kind of swings could I expect? My BR is at 680$ or so, so plenty of buy-ins.

      thanks!
