How much volume are you looking at getting in? I stopped reg'ing at around 9:15pm so I wouldnt be wrecked for work in the morning, but only started at around 7:30ish after getting the kids to bed, pretty worried about how much volume i'm gonna do as i'm only 6 tabling atm
|
Yeah Me too, think i started around 8:30 had up to 10 tables open in one point in the session i think i played 12 games last night busted my last game in fourth @ about 10:30, i also had a mix of turbo's and non turbo's so just wondering what will suit me best
Think i may open a thread as i would like to get some people's opion's on it

first session on stars last night playing 45 man MTTSNG split ~40% normal ~60% turbo, small winning session although got caught out and stayed up later than i wanted to so have to work out how long i want to stay reg'ing for games - as i don't want to be recked for work in the morning
any one got any idea'show long aver the following games last (on Stars)
45's normal speed
45's Turbo
45's super turbo
90's normal Speed
90's Turbo
90's super turbo
180's normal
180's Turbo
180's Super Turbo
Thanks

I change the filters on Stars to include completed games to see what time similar games started and finished. 180 turbos can take 1.5 - 2 hrs, longer with rebuys obv. Turbo 45s are around an hr, 90s between 1-1.5.

Correct? SNG Wiz suggests folding for 180man format. What would you do? What's the optimal shoving range?

he seems to be on the taggier side, hadn't seen him do anything out of line as yet. running like 17/16 over a decent sample (80+ hands - non-turbo FTs last forever!)
i'd supersnapfold in a 45man but is the icm a big enough factor in 180s to fold as well? think it probs is but just want a check.

this seems really borderline and with those stack sizes late game i'd be inclined to fold marginal and wait for a better spot.
he needs to 3b really light here for us to call if i'm not mistaken. even with 22+, AJs+, AQo+ our equity isn't that great.
equity win tie pots won pots tied

Re: *** Official MTTSNG quick checkup thread ***
quick question about sngwiz-
i'm trying to work on my shoving ranges - what kind of edge do you use for general tournament play? obv. there is always some sort of bubble factor at every stage, so you shouldn't just make every marginally +cev jam (at least that's my understanding), what's a good rule of thumb to use?
do you change the edge based on positions of opener etc? how much should it change between 10 and 20bb?
don't really want to change it based on buyin etc, 'cause i don't want to have to adjust everything when i move up.

Re: *** Official MTTSNG quick checkup thread ***
Generally the deeper you are the bigger the edge... Personally I leave it at zero and "tax" myself if I think it's appropriate/necessary, I like to see what's mathematically profitable ignoring edge eitherway

Seems like a very easy shove here. 22+ A2s+ A9o K8s+ KTo+ Q9s+ QJo J9s+ JTo or something?

Re: *** Official MTTSNG quick checkup thread ***
Since then I improved and agree - it's an easy shove. + I sucked at wiz back then. I'd add some connectors, suited gappers to that now.

Re: *** Official MTTSNG quick checkup thread ***
What range are you guys calling here? 45man FT
UTG is 14/13/36(steal pct.) over 142 hands
Hand exported from the SitNGo Wizard. How to import this hand into the SitNGo Wizard.
{Tournament|PokerStars|1.36|0.14|1000|2000|100|45-Man}
UTG: t16214 7.7 BBs {Player|UTG|16214|Push|16214|Overridden|20}
Hero: t14244 6.8 BBs{Player|Hero|14244|Xc|Xs}
UTG+2: t5055 2.4 BBs {Player|UTG+2|5055|Fold|100}
CO: t3954 1.9 BBs {Player|CO|3954|Fold|100}
BTN: t2860 1.4 BBs {Player|BTN|2860|Fold|100}
SB: t16893 8 BBs {Player|SB|16893|Fold|100}
BB: t8280 3.9 BBs {Player|BB|8280|Fold|100}
Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with X  X
UTG pushes t16214 (10+), Hero?
Opponent calling ranges when hero pushes:
UTG+2 (6+), CO (8+), BTN (8+), SB (4+), BB (4+)

Re: *** Official MTTSNG quick checkup thread ***
ICM Spot. Villain is unknown, although has reggish stats (small sample) and has been shoving rather wide from LP. Notice UTG has 1bb. What's my calling range?
Poker Stars, $2.28 Buy-in (2,500/5,000 blinds, 500 ante) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 5 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite. View Hand #10726142
BTN: 102,580 (20.5 bb)
SB: 52,184 (10.4 bb)
Hero (BB): 46,708 (9.3 bb)
MP: 6,172 (1.2 bb)
CO: 62,356 (12.5 bb)
Preflop: Hero is BB with X X
3 folds, SB raises to 51,684 and is all-in, Hero ??

Re: *** Official MTTSNG quick checkup thread ***
Hmm if he is an unknown and we don't know much else then maybe like 66 a9o a8s kqs or maybe a bit wider
if he is definitely a reg shoving atc then much wider, 30%+
you can go tighter a little since in this example the icm doesn't account for the fact that MP is BB next hand (and very likely eliminated, so we'd lose a little more equity than sng wiz/icm etc calculates if we bust here)
edit: for the 180 man hand

Re: *** Official MTTSNG quick checkup thread ***
so you call ATo? I thought pretty much along same line except a little tighter range. Felt ATo was pretty close.
