I think i would call this one. We have overcard+gutshot what mean 7 outs x2 (flop and turn) vs J/K + runners and i think we fairly often have best hand because he can easy go for stop and go play (instead of shoving preflop he decide call preflop and ship flop for some higher fold equity with his weakest holding what he decide is good enough to get in but prefer having some additional fold equity if open raiser miss flop but potentially fold best hand like A or K high to all-in donk bet) and ship lot weaker hands including all draws or even weak hands.

It depends. I go with about M of 7-8 (M is the total of the blinds and antes) or if folded to in the SB I go with M=10. If there is a mix of stack sizes then I increase that slightly.

Hey folks, what is the difference between 45/90/180 in terms of softness,$ per hour, profitability? Do you intermix various games or stick to one game? Ty!
03-13-2015 , 05:18 AM
I am late to the show, but thats how it is sometimes

I play a mix of 45 and 180 man turbos. The 45 player games loads faster, so thats why i like to fill up my tables with these. My max amount of tables is 12, but even though i cant fill that up with only 180 man games without the peak time.

That being said i find the 180 games for sure softer than the 45 when it comes to quality of play. Some of the plays i see at 180 is just unbelieveable, even at the 8 dollar stakes.

When you play long hours a mix of those is pretty close to perfect though, variation is always nice. Also variance is not as brutal in the 45 games, so i find those games more steady bankroll builders. But a top 2 finish in the 180 games tasting like nothing else of course

Hi 2+2

Quick question, is this the appropriate sub-forum to post a thread discussing issues pertaining to live MTTs?

Thanks.

Generally no.

I have stretched it a bit and posted hands here where the payout structure and field size was more similar to an MTTSNG than to a mass-entry online MTT but certainly no other issues. Small (or Medium) Stakes MTT is probably the correct forum or Live Casino Poker depending on the question.

$2.50 180 turbo.

Second hand of the tournament. Is there any value in calling or shoving here? I'm not really sure what range to put villain on.

What range do you call with? And what range do you put villain on (I can't tell - could easily be just KK+/AK hoping to get lucky and get a call, or some spaz shove, or a multitabler who thought the tournament was at a later blind level)?

to previous poster: I'd call. I play these regularly and often see people doing this with middle pairs or AQ/AK.

my question: is there any site on ipoker network where MTTSNG run regularly?

With a 18-20% ROI over 6-7k games in the 2.5s and a 1500$ roll, would you guys start playing 3.5Rs or keep playing 2.5s until I get better? No idea what a good ROI is in the 2.5s. Not planning on depositing again btw, so I guess that plays in as well.
11-08-2015 , 07:40 PM
In the 3.5r tournaments you often fire multiple bullets so they are better thought of as 10 dollar tournaments (people who play them can give you a more accurate number but that's the general idea). Move up to something else.

IMHO you get better faster if you play higher, so yes move up if you are rolled for it.
11-10-2015 , 02:55 PM
Yeah lektor put it well they end up being about 11ish dollar buyins. Swings can be vicious at the 3.5s and 8's.. I personally use a $3500 roll for the 3.5s + 8s.. $1500 is a typical swing not even a bad one so perhaps mix in a few 8s or 3.5s until you build your roll higher especially if u don't want to reload. Good luck
11-12-2015 , 10:27 PM
Did stars remove the $15 turbo 180 mans? All I can find is $2.5, $3.5r, $8 and $35, seems a big jump from 8-> 35
11-12-2015 , 11:34 PM
only during off peak hours i believe.. not sure exactly when the start/cut off is

Can someone tell me how i can post HH on this site like others here? I see certain hh shows pokertracker but others deucescracked etc...
11-20-2015 , 04:06 PM
When you start a new thread there is a 2p2 hand converter to use if you post the hand history direct from Pokerstars. You could not submit the thread and just paste the covnerted hand in this thread. As you noticed, some database programs have some kind of export function too.

Looking to build bankroll by playing 180 man sngs. I have no clue how to games play, so is there any advice on where/how/what to learn to get going?
11-28-2015 , 07:18 AM
You mean how to play the games or what games/BI to play?

Do you know anything about other forms of poker?
12-07-2015 , 05:56 AM
does anyone know any free SNG strategy articles or videos? I play SNG's up to 1$.
12-07-2015 , 08:28 AM
^ It's not free but read Kill Everyone.

Otherwise just learn what you can about Poker generally. Apart from Kill Everyone, pretty much everything useful I have read about poker was aimed primarily at 6-max cash players.
12-08-2015 , 02:34 PM
There is a book by a Mike Turner pretty cheap and decent on kindle. Its specific to sit and go's first half is pretty basic but 2nd half really good. I read it a little late in my poker development but i wish i had read it earlier.
There are other books i would recommend but if your new/ newish this is great value for money. I havent read it in a while and think it was more on stt but lots of content for the money.
just dont watch sit and go straegy vids on you tube all of them that i have seen are awful.
