Need a quick advise for a MTTSNG newbie

Hi Guys,
Hope you can give me an advise on topics I need to consider from moving from pure cash game to MTTSNG.

Cash game is good, once you have a strong grip of the basics its becomes a little boring and the profit is not a big time compared if you got a long shot win from a big tourney, so I decided to try the 180man SNG before doing more MTT.

I decided to signup for deuce crack soon and might look for topics related to MTT/MMTSNG and here are some of the things I read here that will be important to be a successful MMT player

1. ICM
2. Nash/Push&Fold Ranges
3. Harrington books
4. EV
5. Late/Bubble play

Thanks in advance. Cheers!

Your hourly can be much bigger in cash games fwiw. But sngs are much easier to get a decent hourly in so i guess they are nicer.
Umm i think that the most important thing you need to learn first is push/fold/raise ranges and then ICM and late play gets brought into those naturally. Ev and books are meh unless you fancy a read for some reason.

DC isn't huge on MTT content compared to places like BFP

DC's series on 180 man's is very good, probably the best place to start imo. Getting some coaching helped me a lot with 180's, should probably put in some volume before you try that tho. Sngwiz helps too.

Tournament variance can be insane. Yes you might bink first in the Sunday Million, but you probably won't. If you can beat cash games then profit in them is probably more reliable. Whether or not it is as big as tourneys is a matter of ability/opinion.

This type of thread has been started umpteen times before across various strat forums, so getting familiar with the search function might not be a bad idea.
