There are more of these available for other sized fields, roi's via this link page:

Over the years from playing poker I have been picking up a little bit of probability and statistics knowledge - I still have lots and lots to learn but poker does seem to be a very interesting area to acquire a little.
Like many I was interested in knowing how frequently downswings happen and at first I started using simulations. (Many thanks to an earlier poster 'Shroom' who did some simulations for 9 seat STTs many years ago. ) After a while I wondered if you could calculate the values using some maths. I found out that Markov Chains could work.
For these graphs I used a
Markov Chain with 1 absorbing state. I used a package called Mathematica do do the hard work. Each graph for large field games tends to take an hour or two of computer time to calculate.
Alas, I don't have Mathematica anymore and this is a really expensive package. At some point I think I will try doing the same thing using free Python based tools like Sage or just Scipy tools.
