No reads on villian who shoves and his stats are 33/40 but only for 6 hands.

What is most optimal in this spot? i think a call is not bad, but we have no fold equity and most of the times should be flipping. Also what range would you call off here?

Assuming that MP1 is shoving 66+, AT+ (which could be too tight for a player with the stats you mention) then 88 is right at the bottom of my calling range along with AQ. I'm actually quite happy to flip here since we have more than the right price to do so. The other thing is that you can oftne rule out AA, KK and possibly QQ from opp's range since they would most likely standard raise rather than shove those hands.

In game I call and cross my fingers really hard

Calling is fine here (if you like to flip). I would call, you are ahead of Vs Ax shoves and even ahead of some pairs V is shoving so I think it's a good call.

I think i lean towards a call, but i know most of the times i am flipping but i think i am ahead of V's range as it is unlikley he has a bigger pair than mine.
