FT spot - $3.5 / 45 - push or fold here?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, 3.5 Tournament, 300/600 Blinds 50 Ante (9 handed) - PokerStars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

SB (t3111)
BB (t5536)
UTG (t6905)
Hero (UTG+1) (t7973)
MP1 (t6745)
MP2 (t7107)
MP3 (t5990)
CO (t18364)
Button (t5769)

Hero's M: 5.91

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with 8, 8
1 fold,Hero......?

only player i recognise is BU, moderate reg

first 6 or 7 hands of FT, lots of folding but no real reads asides from it seems a little tight

Nasty!
Raising doesn't seem great as we can't really call off anyone except the SB. So we're hoping for 6 other folds...
Shoving 13BB into 7 players seems a little thin but Id probably still do it given your read that they're folding a lot. Folding seems weak but the correct play on some tables.
Right on the borderline for me. 77 gets mucked, 99 goes in and 88... mood/table dependent.

Agree that it's a shove. Disagree it's so easy. Why so?

this is pretty much exactly the dilemma I had, and 99 was definitely going in, 77 felt like an easy fold (hence the post)

McKrogh/Mynameis69 - interesting to see such polarised opinions, can you explain why?

Yes but first tell me what u think a default range these villians call with?

Sb is prob a bit wider than the others. So give me a default range for the otber villians....

Well, it's a pair and given my position, it has a bit more strength to it.
Why not a minbet ? I know it's terrible and all that but so much people seem scared of it and you would jam anyway if any reraises, no ?
I mean, if the guy would be calling your all-in anyway why not try to be creative and make then wonder why you are min-raising UTG+1.
