villain is reggish with 20/14 over 300+ hands. Best way to play this?

    3.5$ pays 4 players?

The best way ti play depends on some factors that only you might now: your image, their image, how you played before this hand, how much do they fold at a HJ steal, if they consider bubble factor/ICM etc.

    i'd 2nd barrel the turn about 25k.
check/shoving is not bad but Qx and the clubdraw are in his range (he just called OTF).

As played, i'd fold with just 2nd pair and fd. CU and SB are shortstacks, i'd wait for a better spot.

    my 2 cents

This is an ugly hand BTN can have pretty much anything: QT QJ Q9 KQ T9 JT 67c 78c small PPs ETC.

I would play it exactly the same till the turn. However on the turn I might bet out with a small bet 20-22k see what he does and c/f on the brick river if he calls.

Don't really mind the check/rise also, but what do you think about a call? you still keep ~12bb cut your losses on the river (if he bets) and just fold, cuz your mostly beat at that spot.

All in all a really ugly spot to be in. Would be nice to hear other people opinions on this one.

Also could you share what he had?

    It is a 180 man 3.5 rebuy sng. it's 27 places paid.

You don't get as much FE out of crai as you think and you need to keep it here. You could also do this with your Qx stuff so if you have a value range here to ckshuv sure.

Leading for ~36.5k is stronger and takes less thought.

    Check flop

open or folding pre is fine. I would bet flop then bet turn then sigh call it off when he rejams turn i imagine. Sometimes checking back flop based on reads as well

I like checking this flop. A queen hits the flatter's range quite a lot and I think check calling the flop is a better play. If the button checks back you may pick up equity on the turn without enlarging the pot.

As played I would just fold the turn. I think his turn bet is rarely a float and although sometimes a semi-bluff it is usually a queen betting for the protection. I know some people would hate folding here with possibly 14 outs but calling this turn bet leaves you with around half the stack you started this hand with and check shoving usually has low fold equity here.

The button has called your c-bet which was bet into 2 players and then he fires a sizeable bet on the turn. I just think so often he has a queen which will not fold to a check shove on the turn.

There are two short stacks still in the tournament and folding the turn would still leave you with a decent stack.

Mind sharing what hand the button showed down with?

if ur still interested he had QTo

checking or betting flop seem both fine to me,

If i would bet the flop, maybe making it a bit smaller 13,8K
Pot is the 55,6K if he then bets turn 22K we have more FE with a jam on the turn, a play which i don't mind.
Check/call pretty much says what we have (showdown value with draw equity)
Betting the turn and then if he shoves kinda sucks because we have tons of equity..

I think QTo is quite poor by him.. i don't see much value for him .. we are raising into 2 very shorties, so we much have something decent, because we have 2 call those shoves.
Plus the BB can jam squeeze like 77s+

That we have a medium strength hand is more important than the fact we have picked up equity. We don't fold better when villain has odds of 3.5 to 1.

do not like the check raise on the turn
    04-16-2016 , 10:30 AM
i think that checking this flop when pot is 3way is gonna almost always be better than betting
    04-16-2016 , 08:18 PM
check flop, if you dont certainly check turn
    04-17-2016 , 05:18 AM
