Re: Final Table w K9s

Its not a bad spot to do it, but its much harder to do it these days as the play is well known and you will get called light.

Of course if you know that you will hit a king on the turn and river, well its an ez game...

Re: Final Table w K9s

The thing about Stop N go is that gives us FE. Pre-flop we have 0 % FE. Yes it is well known, but it stills give us more fold equity than 0 %

btw: I lost that hand so turn and river didn´t help me but I am taking results off the hand always away because the result doesn´t develop me as pokerplayer heh

Like the Stop and go better cuz of our stack, basically if we push we´re getting called so damn often but wiht the Stop and go we´re maximizing FE.

Re: Final Table w K9s

but if we shove pre, that may get rid of the BB, and that would be good right? if we get it in pre its an iso which is nice...from the BB i love the stop and go....from the SB i still love it but not as much

Re: Final Table w K9s

villain must have a non-paired hand with 2 cards lower than a K to fold here thats why i dont like stopngo much.

if im villain im calling off with any Ax/paired/gutshot whatever hand i opened

u could do this with 7bb imo

Re: Final Table w K9s

If the plan is to do Stop N go are you willing to fold some flops? If the plan is to do Stop N go I would donk shove any flop. I think fold in PF would be ok here because we are in FT. We can wait only 1 round to get better spot to double up. (and blind are ofc soon going up)

Re: Final Table w K9s

to the people folding....is it because there are 2 other players with >7 BB's? or because we simply cannot compete with the opening range of villain?

Re: Final Table w K9s

for me because-- 'we simply cannot compete with the opening range of villain' {Imp criteria, villain is good (Hence we assume that he knows CO and SB can shove wide regarding pot odds and his range does well)}.

Re: Final Table w K9s

First of all stop'n'go is better than shoving pre OBV, but i like fold here better than stop'n'go because there are two more shortstacks which will blind away very soon. Im folding here and pushing reasonable ranges later.

Re: Final Table w K9s

We are 1 of the short stacks that are going to blind away very soon

I would prefer to fight for 1th and 2th places where the real money are

Fold and shove any two when folded to us within the next orbit.

Stop'n'Go valid play though.
