i have like 200 hands on btn he seems on the recreational side of things been playing 30/16 and his river bet stat was 6/8 75%
which i think makes it a clear call against him seeing how underrepped my hand is. Against him i think theres more value to xc turn than betting ourselves but id be happy to hear arguments on the other side.

Also would be interesting to hear thoughts on how to play this hand if BTN was a 22/18/7 solid winning reg.

The open pre is kinda marginal with the reshove stacks in the blinds. I don't hate it though.

Flopping top pair/bad kicker can well be in a check/call range here?

I think I would fold the river. He can easily have Ax or better king.

I'd likely check back the flop and keep the pot smallish

I think we have to call river.

We are probably in the top half of our range as we have a load of single c-bet air and our only good hands are aces that c-bet and gave up on turn (I would also check back flop here - its too hard for them to float when we bet into 3 players so we can't get many streets of value against worse).

Given the above, while he may well reach river with a better K he shouldn't bet it out against our polarised range. If we're really folding hand strength of K-rag and lower here then a bet makes no sense with a strong K - particularly when we should be thin on Ks.

Obviously we lost this hand as otherwise it never gets posted - I'm guessing he may have floated with an A, particularly A, or called flop with a mid pair and A kicker (perhaps A6) and rivered 2 pair - or somehow backdoored a flush on us (though worth remembering that the A always blocks a lot of the suited club hands that actually see flop) - but that doesn't change the fact that he should bet this with all kinds of trash and we need to bluff-catch all of the few showdownable hands we get here with.

good stuff guys. x/c flop definately seems the way to go. I also liked Lektor's bit about how he shouldnt bet a K otr vs our range in this spot, very true altho this also is very dependent on the skill level of villain because sometimes they do some random chit

Just re-read that he was 30/16. Yeah, they do random stuff sometimes.
