Hi,

I was wondering how accurate do you think is the expected ROI stat for hero? Are you running under, above or about the same?

The stat is very accurate calculated as long as its getting the proper data from the poker clients, i think is more an issue if u believe the method/formula to calculated is actually the correct or the more appropiate one but in terms of accuracy i would say it is but it also depends on sample sizes, obviously on small samples there are going to be people running below EV or over it depending if you´re russian, brazilian or polak (hahaha obviously joking) but on large/big sample sizes i have never met someone actually running above EV and i have poker buddies that play high volume on different formats like 6m hypers, husngs, cash, etc., and they are all running below EV or very very close to it.

yeah but i was wondering how do they "value" a 30th bust? or a 12th bust. I assume the ROI uses somesort of ICM model underneath?

I use PT4 and i browse the forum looking for the definition/Formula of the "Expected ROI%" stat but for PT3 guys they call it "ROI% Adjusted"...

I also browse the HEM forums and didnt see much else and for what you´re asking im guessing the answer is no.

You have now; my ROI is 6% higher than my Adjusted ROI according to PT4 over a 20K sample which makes me sad. Personally i don't think this type of thing can be calculated very precisely
