I think that recently players limping in spot like this often with stronger range than with weak range, If sb would have a hand like kx,some connectors, q8,j9,j8 he would probably just shove so if you dont have any aditional info- his limping a lot in general or he was limping with weak hands before on the sb I would just check and play flop with position and good hand
