So here are my thoughts. Maybe I was sizing too big with my preflop raise? I'm thinking I need to cbet here but how big do I cbet? It seems like my stack is committed if I do something half pot and he just flats but I could be wrong. Thanks guys!

Prob just jam pre, might be a little too big I dunno. Could also just jam flop I guess.

Yeah, I didn't like the way my stack sized up with the pot. Maybe bet a little more or a little less with the 3bet so I have a more clear option on the flop?

I'd prefer a bigger 3b pre to set up a flop shove. Raise to 8bb pre and you have a perfect stack for a flop shove.

Jamming pre doesn't seem bad to me.
As played I guess that a Go n Go isn't bad either.

i agree here, jamming pre is probably the best idea given stack size

I disagree. With the jam you're folding out all but the top of his range and only picking up 3.5bb in dead money in the process. I'd rather keep in more of his range and then take the pot on the flop.

There should be an ante presumably.

There was an ante IIRC. I did end up shoving on the flop and he snap called 88. GG. I hadn't thought about jamming preflop which makes sense. I'm not sure he folds either way but that may have been the optimum play.

Jamming pre seems perfectly fine here, we're OOP with a strong hand that we're not going to be thrilled to see a flop with a lot of the time, and when the flop comes A high and he has this type of hand we're going to have a hard time getting value OOP.

Valid point. Especially with my stack size. I don't think I realized that at the tiem.

Just curious, are you setting up stacks to jam the flop blind? Or do you mean you are setting up stack to jam favorable flops Axx/Kxx/332/etc.

I'd probably be shoving pretty much any flop. If you're going to raise pre you should be making a CB a high % of the time, so the same would apply if you raise bigger to set up a shove CB. The only flops I wouldn't shove are the extreme end of the bad flop range (like JT9 all black cards, for example).
