90 FT, 99 utg+1 vs shortstack 3bet shove
The guy was 16/12 aggro with 14% 3bet. It's the first time he 3bet shoves after someone opened from EP. He was generally tight. I think that my 99 are flipping with his range here (77+, AT+, KQ), do you agree? Call?
Poker Stars, $0.23 Buy-in (400/800 blinds, 75 ante) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 9 Players

UTG+1: 10,465 (13.1 bb)
Hero (UTG+2): 16,415 (20.5 bb)
MP1: 8,199 (10.2 bb)
MP2: 4,097 (5.1 bb)
MP3: 12,610 (15.8 bb)
CO: 14,212 (17.8 bb)
BTN: 31,988 (40 bb)
SB: 15,800 (19.8 bb)
BB: 21,214 (26.5 bb)
Preflop: Hero is UTG+2 with 9 9
UTG+1 folds, Hero raises to 1,600, MP1 raises to 8,124 and is all-in, Hero ???

Re: 90 FT, 99 utg+1 vs shortstack 3bet shove
his range is probably tighter than what you assigned (mostly KQ and prob AT), that being said you are getting pot odds (i.e. if you are flipping vs his range, call is mandatory)

Re: 90 FT, 99 utg+1 vs shortstack 3bet shove
i never bet-fold 99 20bb and definatly not folding to a 10bb rejam, imo you are better then flipping his range and with dead money an easy +Ev call.

What would be bottom of our calling range ? I would not fold 99 here.

Re: 90 FT, 99 utg+1 vs shortstack 3bet shove
you shouldnt have a folding range Vs. the 10bb stack, if you do it means you fold to any rejam, if you are folding to any rejam, dont open.
