I'm 5th for chips out of 6 players, on the button with a 9BB stack. UTG shoves all in 4BBs. I assume this range to be wide as he doesn't have much room left if the blinds hit him. I have A4o so I'm assuming it does well against his range. There are two people left to act in the blinds.

What is the right play here? A fold or a shove to get the blinds in as dead money?

It's a gambling call but I would do it. As you said, his range is so wide anyway. You also price yourself in for 1bb on 4 + SB + Ante. But of course, with 9 bb behind, that's getting tricky for the future if you lose that pot. I would still do the same.

i would fold, because of the ICM. 6 left and 4 paid in 18s, right? A4o has very bad equity vs his range and you have both blinds behind. I don't mind calling from the bb tho

Even if utg was shoving 2bb I'm folding this.
If you are mass tabling 18mans, being itm is huge.

You will find much more +ev spots in $7 18's then calling or reshoving A4o otb.

SNAP FOLD due to ICM. And even his range should be wider your equity will not be enough anyways. Only consideration here would be if we're on BB.

He's pushing with almost any ace but I wouldnt call with A4. I'm looking for A9+ from an UTG raise. Plus you look like you're almost in the money and this was a gamble.
