Overplayed spot or just unlucky?

5 places paid, 7 remaining.

CO and button both have big bounties of their head (the two biggest bounties at the table). CO stats are vpip 25/ pfr 9 so hes been fairly passive. Assume the limp was him trying to cheaply get in to the pot and hunt the short stacks bounty.
I was 2nd in chips with the chip leader (only by a small amount) to my left in the bb who was playing vpip 24/pfr 24/3B 10 so reasonably lag.

Im aware a 23bb shove with 5's is a bit much but i didnt want to put a small raise in and get pushed off the hand by a reshove from the bb or CO.

Given the big bounties i think my play is fine & just unlucky but perhaps someone better at these games than myself could take a look?

seems like a fine shove to me on the face of it. BB isnt calling often, and BTN range in theory should be pretty weak in this spot imo

Would it be totally off just completing 300 with the intention to setmine against 3 players + a possibility to stab on low flops ?
BB should not raise with nothing into 3 players.... first limper could be trapping afterall.
Good risk/reward scenario with 23 bb ?
But maybe to passive...

The set mine isn't that good against the CO's soft range because we need him to be able to make a second-best hand to pay us off.

There isn't much point in a bluff-stab when one of the players is all in.
