Just a quick question about pre flop here the guys kind of short and opening pretty wide on the button here any thoughts about 3 betting with the intention of calling his shuv here or just over jamming rather than flatting and playing OOP?

imo don't flat from SB, its 3b or fold

preflop: don't 3b shove here, eff stack slightly too deep

if we have reads/stats that BU is opening wide then 3b

flop: as played, c/f ok

I would definitely 3-bet, call seems to be the worst option. If you hit an A and bet, what would you do to a 3-bet on flop?

As mktpppr said, flop is Ok.

70 hands is a small sample, so you cannot make an accurate deduction whether hes opening pretty wide on the button or not.

However, based on his vpip/pfr stats we could say he is quite tight and he would most likely fold or 4b shove and not flat call vs a 3b

Considering the fact that he does neither has enough hands/information to exploit us, I would make a small 3b of 250 and fold to a 4b shove.

Even if he is 4betting readless as wide as 8% (ATs+ AJo+ KQs 77+), we only have 34% equity vs his perceived 4b range and we need at least 36% to make a breakeven call (724/(974x2+50)). This makes 3b/call a very marginal call.

So I would 3b/fold vs him.
