Think I should of shoved pre. having raised is this a call hes a reg about 75 k in profit he seams very aggressive for a reg, oh and hes Russian.

Hes large sizing will often cap his range.

I'm chip leader but we are not ITM yet.

thinking shove> r/c > r/f ?

I wouldn't ship here. I like 2x and call vs aggro player, let him shove wider vs us.

+1

r/c 66+ i printing chips vs aggro regs here. I usually shove 22-55 to make him fold some hands that we flip against

ok. probably being results orientated. went from chip leader to out in 5 hands. Other 2 spots were super standard

Don't we hate it if we get flatted by someone though?

I'm happy jamming 88 when we are out of position to a stack of less than 10 CSI like this and have a clear push/fold effective stack against the rest.

bb is unknown but 0/0 after 10 hands so probably not a lappy type fish. Rest of table seam at least semi decent cant think that they are going to flat with these effectives. Maybe villain and possibly the bb given his discounted pot odds (but I doubt it). 4/6 remaining players (maybe 5/6) going to shove or fold the vast majority of the time.

If we are flatted I can only assume it will be by MP. Given we will probably only have one caller and with my stack size I think a cbet on most flops is going to be plus EV.

Having said that I'm not saying r/c > shove. I'm undecided

Well this seems like a paradox. We don't want to get flatted but we are assuming the others are "good" enough not to put us in that tough spot.

Chuck Bass wrote an article recently about this:

https://www.upswingpoker.com/combat-...y-short-stack/

It's not something I have put in my play yet but it seems to me that if we can rely on villains to auto c-bet a lot of hands when we flat, then we should be doing it more and deciding whether or not to put our whole stack in depending on the flop. If they are basically not using the extra information but we are then it seems like its better for us to have the information out there.

I think there is also the bonus if its at all close that if its marginal either way the we should do it in order to get tagged as a fish by villains who will then try to make incorrect exploitative plays against us.

I agree in the actual hand that these taggy stats make it look like we're getting jammed on and never flatted.
