3.5 18man early - top pair OTF and OTR 3.5 18man early - top pair OTF and OTR

was wondering if the flop call was really bad since we essentially have 3 players to act and we can't call a raise?

as played, what to do OTR? While I find it hard to believe he has a 6 having led flop and checked turn, it's not impossible (e.g. 68). I also don't believe he could rule out a 6 on mine and BTN's range easily. So is this a fold? any arguments to call? thanks

You are gonna get better answers than the one I am going to give you. I would like to give my opinion about that hand anyhow. From someone who use to play these a lot and was ranked top 10 in the world in higher buy ins 2 years straight. END BRAG.

Option 1 fold Pre. It is very crucial that you have a higher percentage at making the final table when its a two table tournament. Hands like these put you in these type of spots and make it harder to be profitable in 18 mans. I almost think its better to fold until the blinds get higher and start shoving when there are 8 people in the tournament left. You should always be able to get it in with 40% equity+. This will lead to a lot more cashes than trying to play pots early and find someone bluffing off most of stack or getting to cooler someone.it is 3$ though and they play is bad.

Option 2 what a draw heavy board this is. Diamonds and straights. You called the flop because you know that it is very possible for there to be a semi bluff here. When the turn goes check check check we can now rule out all sets and made straights.

riverI don't think anyone is ever value betting nine in this spot at this level. you are correct this will be 68 some of the time. I think 69 bets the turn. Since all the draws missed and there are way more bluffs than hands that actually are made you have to call. If you were gonna fold this river when the draws missed than you should be folding the flop.

no offense, but sc's in a multiway pot 75bb's deep? Call and play poker imo if some decent postflop skills.

Although most of our profit does come from having a superior push/fold game and a better grasp of ICM considerations (lesser/smaller errors).
