Ok. so I'm happy to call a shove from villain. when he 2x 's here it felt a bit suspect with these effectives. Given that I'm suspect he has a r/f range here could we find a fold even though doing so would make us massively exploitable. if he realized we had made the adjustment.

If it felt a bit suspect then would you consider just flatting it instead?

Actually in game it felt more then a bit suspect. Everyone had been open shoving at similar effectives. Not sure why I said it was bit suspect. It felt strange for villain to r/f here its not how table had been playing.

Given this I'm thinking fold>call>shove.

I mean if we call we are going to be oop shallow stacked against a suspected strong range. Not knowing what flop we are actually looking for we are only going to be happy getting it in on 99x or a9x flops.

In game I was annoyed with my shove because basically my reasoning is I'm calling a shove so now perhaps I have fe as well which I think is a myth.

But having said all that if I start folding a9o here then r/f from villains will be super exploiting me.

Yep I'd just go for a ship. But with the odds we get flatting will always be better then folding, but for sure the typical play is to shove which I would still do just so I'm not exploitable

its soooooo villain dependant in those games. im color coding guys that have r/f range on 10-13bbs in similar spots. helps a lot

I don't really go much with the idea of table standards. It matters more what the specific player usually does.

Well sure, but you're making an exploitative read on him given you would normally call this off if he'd just shoved. Obviously if you deviate from GTO to exploit someone you become exploitable yourself. When neither of you are playing GTO then the question is who's exploiting who.

If he's doing this as a level with 75o then he owned you. Keep an eye on his frequency of doing this to see if something seems wrong.

Good points guys. Think I should of folded and let him have it and made a note. The other thing is he may be frequently capping his open shove ranges to include more r/c 's. so it possibly has ramifications for other spots to. I mean theoretically in game if I had made the fold/observation and in the wider sense in the future vs same villain.

Regarding colour coding its a good idea. but I use all the colours all ready for general player types rather then specific tendencies.
