Just read the thread. LOL at everyone making a big deal about how -EV this is. All of the spots were pretty obvious and OP never talked much about ranges at all, just what he would do with the hands he was dealt.
I think OP may have missed a couple spots heads up where limp/stabbing might've been good given how passive villain was. I also think OP forgot about calling in the BB w/ 64o and then showing it down after stabbing the flop w/ an oesd against the same guy he went heads up with. Not sure I would've shoved some of the spots he did on account of that but I may be giving villain too much credit.
You might remember me from my 1000th post, back in October. Since that time, I've worked a lot on improving my game and have been fortunate enough to move up in stakes and go out on my own.
With my 2000th post fast approaching, I decided that I'd like to try and give a little something back to the community...
==========
With that in mind, I hit the record button towards the end of one my sessions, earlier this week. I didn't have too many tables up at the time, which gave me the opportunity to articulate things in more detail than I ordinarily would have. What resulted was a 180-man strategy video, mixed with a discussion of poker concepts (as they apply to these tournaments).
Some of the topics I covered included BRM, variance, ICM and emotional control. I think this video could have some value to anyone currently playing (or thinking of playing) MTT SNG's. I also believe that a lot of the content is applicable to short-stack MTT play.
If there are any questions regarding anything contained in the video, I'd be happy to answer them.
Hope you enjoy it.
