Against your position he will be a bit tighter than normal. Without calculate it, i would guess he jam something like 66+, AJo+, A9s+, KJs+, QJs. I think with ATs it's very close but i think i would call but without calculation i am not 100% sure.

Do we like a 2.5x open here or prefer min or 2.1x? Does the bigger size give more folds? In my experience it doesn't, and a 2.5x is more attractive for someone to shove over.

Yeah I tend to avoid putting in more than 10% of the effective stack if there is a good way to avoid doing so.

Vs a random player I'm prolly calling 77, AJs and wider vs an opponent I know will shove lighter here. With 21 hands on villain I'd consider that a random opponent. I'd also go 2x pre

Is open folding too tight here? Based on our range from early position we are not thrilled about shoves . 2.1x pre and fold to shove

Hi guys,

Ok it's my first post but I have been playing online poker for more than 6 years now...
I have a question/reflexion I would like to share about this kind of spot. BTW I think this spot is kinda tricky because I guess it's close between open fold/ minraise / openshove (maybe not so close for this)

Before opening, shall we consider independantly what we will do against each opponent if we get some action?

For example: I think/guess:
- we will call shove from MP1, MP2, MP3, CO and SB
Then
- what do we do if BU or/and BB flat, 3-bet, 3-bet shove?

Once we have clarify all the different cases, meanings we have a plan, we can make our decision.

About this specific hand: This is the only thing I agree with.
