2/180 FT 6 left, KQ from BB vs. UTG range

Hi guys,

That was tough spot and I after some pondering I decidied to call. Ithink it's a marginal call. Villain was running 27/20 50% steal over 30 hands, was short and next hand was going to be on the BB. Pot odds were 42%. Call or fold?

Re: 2/180 FT 6 left, KQ from BB vs. UTG range

According to your description of villain, I dont think it is marginal, but solidly good. It would be a Nash call, with UTG shoving 21.5%, 22+ A2s+ A7o+ K9s+ KJo+ Q9s+ QJo J9s+ T9s. Now this is very heavy of KX hands, adjusting towards 21.6%, 22+ A2s+ A4o+ KTs+ KJo+ QJs still shows a marginal profit, but based on your description and his position at the table, he could very well be looser.

So I don't think it is that marginal at all.

calling and losing sucks because you only have 3 bbs left and thus barely have any feq, calling and winning is awesome because you'd become chipleader and have a great position at the table to start stealing a lot. For the hand itself it's obv profitable to call. Yeah, I think all you can do is call

Here are some numbers that Parvex provided. using them and a 21% push range for the villain, I got nearly 50% equity and I need 51% to call. This makes decision easier because I would not call if I don't have at least a minimum advantage. Moreover, I indeed left with 3bb stack and get busted 2 hands therafter.

Hi! Interesting.. How did you arrive at the 51% equity needed? Could you explain it to me, please?

Actually pot odds were 1.75:1 or 36% and not 42% as I initially wrote. They were 42% before everyone have folded to me.

I take the 1.49 buble factor provided by Parvex for 6 players left and devide 1.75 to 1.49 to get 1.17 pot odds to call or 46% required equity. In PokerStove I put KQo vs 21% assumed villan's range and get 49 expected equity. Now we have 3% difference and if numbers are correct the call is +$EV.

Wauw im pretty clueless here. Gotta love being 6-handed whilst 2.5/5k :P My feeling says FI-spot >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> call that basterd but u don't have that much time left and KQo is pretty much a monster in this stage with these blinds.
