I havent found much info about this and i believe its an important issue whether or not to rebuy at the start of a $3r Turbo 180 SNGs?, Pros and Cons?, it doesnt affect that much our ROI or is it a big deal? I think addon is always good since you get 2k chips for 3.19$. The question is whether 1500 chips are worth 3.19$ at for example 100/200 (I remember furo saying "no"). The second question is - is it still +ev to rebuy if 1500 chips are worth less than 3.19$.

Take a look at the big picture here, its not just $3.19, if u play 1,000 of these per month that´s $3,190 u could save if we can determine rebuy at the start wont change thing that much in the long run

Hello, i grind 3r 180 man, but some time ago i started do think that some times it is dificult to calculate the real roi in this tournaments because the average tournament are registered on sharkscope as an average 10$ tournament. But sometimes i spend a few more in this tournaments.

So i started to question my self, it is good to make rebuy's or it is better to simple open a new tournament?
Now i try to mix in doing rebuy's and not doing to equilibrate with sharkscope, but i noticed that my roi is significantly worst.

I would like to discuss this with you.

I'd be interested in knowing about this too. I tend to make the initial single rebuy and take the addon but if I bust in the rebuy period I close the tourney and start another one as I think my edge is big in the initial levels. The only time I may make an exception and double rebuy is if I'm at a particularly soft table.

I spoke to chilin_dude about how he plays these and he doesn't even take the initial rebuy, just the add-on, and prefers (or preferred, may have changed his mind) to play them out as a regular 180, ie with a 1500 chip stack.

when u bust from a tournament. is it better to double rebuy in the same tournament or exit and start a new 3r. This is at the higher blind levels before addon break.

You should rebuy until the add-on in most cases. By not taking the add-on your losing value. In a 3r, for example, if you've already put $12 into the prizepool, it would be smart to rebuy again for only $6, giving yourself a shot at the whole prizepool as opposed to being bust, and losing your original investment.

Hmm true, this is what I do atm but its $6 more in original $6. What I was thinking was that in a new tourney u get to start at the lower blind levels again.

You do get to start at lower blind levels however the previous tourney is gone, so that $6 or $12 is lost, whereas if you rebought you would still have a chance at the whole prizepool (which contains your $6, $12, whatever)

U also dont pay rake on rebuys + tons of fish will exit before add on which is also +ev for you.

Also another question, are ranges approx. the same in 3r as in 8$? Cause at 10BB I seem to be in the bottom 20% of the group most of the time

I'm a winning Reg at 180 $2.50 turbos and I'm thinking of moving up to the $3.50 rebuy. Which of these 2 rebuy strategies is most profitable or is there a 3rd option I'm not considering?

Strategy A
Rebuy immediately and double auto rebuy (if felted) to the end of the rebuy period and always add on.

Strategy B
Never rebuy and only take the add on when you have run your stack up.
