103o BTN shove 9bb Effective 103o BTN shove 9bb Effective

Just wanna know what you guys think of this spot. its actually in a video on 180's on Deucescracked. There are 7 players left and I think its 2 tables remaining. its folded to the BTN and hero has 103o with 27bb. SB is 3bb and BB has 9bb. He says that vs good REGs its an easy fold but vs randoms its definitely fine to shove this.

Really?? I find it hard to believe you can deviate that far from nash without any info on villains. If that is the case then I am shoving no where near wide enough, but I honestly don't think you just rule out people calling wider than nash because they are random. This video is around 5 years old though so maybe peoples ranges in general have improved. Personally I think often in the micros players are calling wider than they should and I don't think shoving wide should be a default vs random. Maybe I'm wrong.
Appreciate any comments.

I would generally say that randoms at micros are calling tighter so this may be a +EV shove in a vacuum. The thing is, if they are playing that exploitably (and also exploiting themselves on your behalf by folding away value even when you're not exploiting them but your and their cards say that they should collide with you), you don't want to teach them that is the case by shoving every hand or letting them see you show down T3o. Shear the sheep, don't skin it.

The above doesn't apply under heavy ICM, they are often calling or over-calling too loose.

in 180 man this is not possible. There have to be at least 10 players to be 2 tables.

I think it's good to put the link from that video.

I like that metaphor lol. I guess what really boggles my mind is how you can know how much to exploit randoms when you know nothing about them? Is it just simply a population average read sort of thing? (dunno if that makes sense). I mean iv'e been playing the micros for ages now but I am still unsure of whether I can exploit wider in most spots I definitely wouldn't be shoving that wide in the spot above
