You CAN fold the river, but against most V's it is wrong.

In the future, we can give you better feedback if you provide reads on your opponent. I'm guessing you don't use a HUD, so you have to tell us, have you seen him play a lot of hands, c-bet much, bet a lot of rivers, get caught bluffing? That info will let you (and us) know whether your bet sizing on the turn was good, for example.

I think you have to call. You may still be up against 2-pair with some players. You hand is relatively under-repped still. This does look like a float with a gutshot that got there though but you can beat some of his other value combs and he may turn missed draws (flush) into bluffs.

Don't really know why everyone is okay with letting the flop check through. The pot is way too large versus your stack to slow-play.

Either someone has an ace and will pay you off, or they have a draw, and you may end up paying them off.

If you bet 1000 on the flop, you're getting called by Ax with is a 27-1 dog.

    ^This is interesting.

At this level they often auto c-bet too much, normally I would check to the raiser, but the all-in player changes things a bit (main pot 2004, side pot 522). With this particular board, I think villains will bet to protect an ace and check behind pretty much anything else. I think they also call your leads with about the same (which doesn't make sense but this is $1).

If you let them bet their aces you can do a small check raise which they will find irresistable to call, then just chunk the rest on the two remaining streets.

If they check through (as here) they don't have aces but then you have more opportunity to get value from those weaker hands on later streets so that's good too.

^^ we're checking with the intention of c/r and stacking off on the flop

there's no draws and its a multi-way flop, probability of someone betting is bigger than in a HU pot
