    Poker Stars, $0.91 Buy-in (300/600 blinds, 50 ante) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 3 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

    Hero (SB): 34,615 (57.7 bb)
    BB: 22,708 (37.8 bb)
    BTN: 10,177 (17 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 4 6
BTN folds, Hero raises to 1,800, BB raises to 4,200, Hero calls 2,400

    Flop: (8,550) 9 2 2 (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets 3,000, Hero raises to 7,500

Reads: Villain actually had about 20K when there were 16 left and has been exerting ICM pressure all through FT2 and FT - including open jamming 30 BB effective a ton when 8 handed (I tried some of those jams in Nash Calculator and it said he could do 78 percent from 3 off the button because nobody could call him) and seems really good - he should understand that he is now under ICM pressure. We just took the chip lead a few hands ago.

i think its okay.. so long as he isn't hyper aggressive, also it depends a little bit on our image. if you've been going crazy and are raising a lot then he may get suspicious but if you have a tighter image he may let it go. he should also know that you won't raise a 2 here so your range can't be that strong but it is hard for him to make a play back at you so yeah i think its okay

Thanks (and also for the 779K7 one). Yeah I'd been playing reasonably tight while we were all under ICM pressure (at one point it was like 30K vs 6 times 6K but I caught cards and also bullied the others pre-flop the few times he did fold) so I think my image is not too spewy. He certainly hasn't seen me check-raise flops light or actually at all yet.

It's so rare that you can sensibly call a 3-bet and check-raise with total air at this level that I wanted to run it by the forum.

with your reads I just open-fold pre, shoving 30bb eff many times doesn't sound like a good player, sounds like a loose player

risk premium works both ways, BB can hurt us, so we must be careful if he's loose

preflop: open-fold, as played easy fold vs 3b, don't r/c vs 3b OOP

flop: as played, c/f, what are we repping on that flop? after r/c pre?
