I just like that I'm back to critting everything in the face again. My mage had like item level 610 at launch and during leveling my critical chance was 48%, even in ****ty quest greens and blues at 110 it is 36%. Fire Blast, Phoenix's Flames, and Flame On just means constant instant pyros. You just have to be aware that you will set everything in the vicinity on fire.
For lvl 45 talents I just use Incanter's Flow and ignore it.
I've been getting about 18-20 fps on graphics settings 9-10 using a GTX 960 at 1920x1200 windowed fullscreen. The recommended settings are a 7. I was expecting a lot better performance out of this card. I came from a 500 series GTX and even that ran at higher framerates at the old max settings. If I turn the graphics down to 6 I'm seeing 30 fps.
I am thinking that there is something else going on. Does anyone have some ideas about what could be causing my low framerates? Ping to world/home is like 60/50. I've got 40 Mb of addon usage.
Keeping in mind that questing is my second least favorite thing in WoW behind pvp, I must admit that suramar is GOAT zone for story and questing. The gating sucks, but if it wasn't there you could spend days on end just trying to plow through the whole story.
The entire zone seems to offer about as much content as the rest of the 4 new zones combined. Slight hyperbole, but it just feels like there's so much going on there.
I can't force myself to go questing in high mountain but I can't stop myself going back to Suramar, even tho I really want them last pieces of world pillar
curse app is GOAT. no more manually updating 20 addons.
Speaking of addons, World Quest List is amazing. Can filter out pvp crap i'll never do, see what zones have what quests/rewards, which rep is affected, etc, all at the blink of an eye.
Oh, and they added a portion that lets you see on the flight path where the quest you're going to is located.
This is a well done xpac, I'm having fun like I remember in wrath and haven't even hit max level yet. My 980ti does everything at max on 1080 while I have Netflix on another monitor. Waiting for the 1080ti to release before selling my current card to a buddy
They put out a statement about the supply/demand for potions and flasks. Basically said they kinda wanted to dissuade people from flasking and potting every single pull during progression. Thought that was an interesting turn of events.
kinda happy to see that fury is really messed up and blizzard is taking the blame, makes me less sad about not giving in and diving into this expansion...
There are rumors that Blizzard is going to implement a "WoW token" that provides battle.net balance.
If true, and not limited in some way, that means my 15ish million gold is going to finally become useful.
If they keep the same ratios ($20 purchase price, $15 redeem value) and the in-game price jumps up to EU levels, that's $2000+. I'll never pay for another Blizzard product again.
