Pvp or pve?

mostly pve but i want to get into pvp having never really tried it out

however i dont really mind being underpowered for pve, i can make that up minmaxing yo

so i would prob prefer to roll some sort of flavor of the xpac pvpwise

is that hunter?

Classes that can queue for something besides DPS are always a huge plus. Biggest downside of something like a Mage or Hunter. The Warrior is pretty fun but isn't great at soloing as far as tanks go. Never played a Shaman.

also i find that the animations for melee are completely lackluster

fotxpac gonna be monks then paladins then everything else that no one cares about imo

FotM is gonna be monk for sure. I don't really know what's going on with pvp yet, but for pve I'm pretty hunters are at the bottom right now along with boomkins on simcraft (but that's single target, and it looks like most fights so far aren't single target). That might not really matter to you though depending on what you're doing.

I would go warrior if you like melee and shadow priest if you prefer a caster ! They both seem like they are good in pve and pvp . Warriors tend to wreck my **** sometimes if they are good , pretty tough to deal with .

Boomkins are slightly bugged atm. Not hugely, but something unintended is definitely happening. Problem is, it looks like if it's "fixed" to the way I assume it's intended, our DPS will go down a bit. Probably not too significantly, but it would still be kind of a slap in the face to nerf one of the lowest (single-target) classes.

It's kind of hard to explain exactly what's going on (especially because I don't fully understand what's going on), but basically we're getting an extra damage bonus from something during our rotation. I think we're double-dipping our mastery during Celestial Alignment (the burst part of our rotation, which is the only thing keeping our overall dps respectable). There's a lot of stuff you can do though to show it's definitely some sort of bug. Start in lunar eclipse, spam starfire down to 0 energy, use astral communion to get into solar, then spam more starfires. They still hit for the same amount that they did during lunar eclipse, which isn't supposed to happen. This also supposedly doesn't apply to dots or starfall, which to me is even weirder--if it was just some kind of hidden copy of lunar eclipse being applied, then moonfire and starfall should also benefit, but it's only starfire. I haven't tested that out yet though, that's just what I've heard.

Also, just ordered MoP: CE from Amazon. I'm a little disappointed that the mouse pad just has Chen Stormstout instead of the continent like the Lich King one did. I'm a big fan of the art of WoW, the music is amazing and the environments have always impressed me. Can't wait! Scheduled for delivery on the 25th, so I guess that means I can't do the content right at launch. It would be cool if they made all the content free to play for the first 48 hours or something to accommodate people who still buy boxes.
