I joined one two weeks ago to help with my own leveling. They were level 6 and had 152. They hit 25 tonight and have 650+ members.

either they took advantage of the guild leveling exploit or removing the cap really helped

There was another change to guild rep though, wasn't there? They normalized guild xp across the levels, so in theory, a level 1 should earn as much guild xp for completing quests as a level 85, whereas before they were just earning miniscule and irrelevant amounts until at least level 70+.

So, you should be able to power level a guild really easily by just inviting random players / noobs and providing a decent levelling environment for them.

I'm gonna do a post-mortem here and say that after I bought the 390 Loss-of-control trinket I replaced the 377 one on my bars for Frost but not Fire.

I think it was the cap. They seemed genuinely happy last night when hit 25, and some aren't playing a few days. I, however, still working towards 70.

So while I'm dpsing the target dummies, I keep getting taken out of combat for a split second in the middle of my rotation for seemingly no reason at all. Really annoying because skada stops recording until I get back into combat and then starts a new segment. Does this happen to anyone else? I haven't been paying close enough attention to exactly when it happens, it doesn't seem to be in a regular spot during my rotation though. But it could very well be at regular real-time intervals, I have no idea.

Only thing I can think of is it has something to do with the cross-realm zone crap, momentarily taking me out of combat to phase me and/or the dummies in/out or something like that.

We also get spammed with messages about winning TB even when we lose it, which I can only assume is from the cross-realm zone stuff.

You must be right. My level 30 toon is sitting at 2,340,000 for the weekly contribution, while my 70 and 85 are much further below. (stopped playing 85 after dinging)

Theorycrafting is not for me...I'm sitting here at the target dummy with a whiteboard trying to math some stuff out regarding when to refresh dots, since I've heard so many different ideas, but I'm finding it really hard to quantify things like saving GCDs and getting into an eclipse faster, etc. Now that I think about it, I should probably just be grabbing something like Simcraft and playing around with that..I think you can edit the rotations in that? That would definitely be a lot easier

Ok, I still don't get the cross-realm zones thing. I see people on the forums all drooling over how fun it is, doing world pvp and the like, but like... how do you get into a cross-realm zone? Do you have to turn something on, like how you have to type /pvp to enable pvp on a pve server?

Do you have to be on certain quests to have it work? What's the deal?

The servers do it automatically, when zones have a low population.

No, though on a similar note I imagine it only puts pvp servers together with other pvp servers, and pve with other pve. I could be wrong though, I don't really know.

Yeah I noticed this too. Not that it needs a further kicking of the horse, but a level 28 alt in our guild is already exalted with guild just by questing... level 28... **** that much rep used to take months and months of arena/daily's/etc.

has anyone here done any mass guild recruiting? What's a good method? Just use spam invite addons, or go zone to zone spamming macros?

I imagine invite addons are probably the best bet if your only goal is to get as many members as possible. Can't hurt to spam in trade, but I wouldn't go flying from zone to zone spamming a macro in /1.

I'm messing around in Simcraft right now, trying to get a handle on the best boomkin rotation. Holy ****, simcraft is powerful, you can do so much stuff with it, it's ridiculous.

it has taken longer to kill two bosses in firelands than it did to clear all of dragon soul, while carrying a buyer. such a terrible night. atleast the buyer paid 200k lol.

The removing of the guild cap is insane

People are getting guilds to lvl 25 now in less than a week

just doing 77-79 got me about 33% of the way from 1-2. And that's only one toon.

I can't see them not nerfing the guild xp rates, I think it's way higher then they had originally intended. Soak it in while you can!
