Got a Brawlers Guild invite from second rare I killed ftw

Weird, it would make sense on mine that it was just combining normal and LFR, because I have 8 normal kills and 5 LFR. So I guess it was probably doing something like that for everyone.

Valor upgrades don't show the new ilvl on the armory QQ, I can't stare at my beautiful new 517 cloak without logging in. The overall stats down next to the talents show the right numbers though, but not up on the gear.

Method's heroic Sha video is up. Not sure if any of the others are up, this was the first one I saw though, about to watch it after I do a couple mount runs real quick (love that I don't have to bother anyone for a raid group for this anymore). The video is 25 minutes long, with about 2 minutes of intro stuff and close wipes, so ~23 minute fight. It also looks like they had a 2.43 million wipe. That's out of over 1.6 BILLION. I can't even imagine what that has to be like, and what they would be feeling if that cost them the world first (25) kill.

Method's video was pretty epic. What happened with that one guy sitting at the other area by himself? Was it some kind of bug where he didn't make it back to the Sha's platform?

I don't know why but I suddenly got the urge to level a Rogue and mess around in some low-level Battlegrounds. What's the earliest you can get in to AB? Now that my Mage has all his Dreadful gear, I can start dumping Honor in to some herilom PvP gear.

What little PvP I played of the Warrior and DK at 85 didn't seem too appealing. The DK felt very clunky and seemed to have a very steep learning curve as far as getting to a point where you were proficient at managing Runes. Very cool resource system but ultimately kind of intimidating. Too much potential to be absolutely horrible and not know it. The Warrior... meh. They're fun to tank PvE with.

To be honest the "stabby" nature of Rogues is what's alluring. Also, as a Mage I'm a big fan of frustrating the everloving hell out of people with stuns, kiting, cc, etc. Rogues seem good at that.

I'm hesitant to level another pure DPS class but with the amount of work it takes to gear up PvE wise, I doubt that I would maintain enough interest in dailies and LFR every week to get a Healer or Tank to any respectable gear level. Not like my guild raids anyways. We're supposed to raid Monday/Tuesday but we haven't for 3 weeks due to Thanksgiving, people being out of town, not having enough healers, and whatever else prevents people from showing up.

Anyone have any suggestions as to what could be fun to pvp with? Like I said, I'm really not interested in the Warrior or DK. Healing on the Paladin could be fun, and it's not like you'd run out of things to do with Honor points gearing up that character. Also have the Priest sitting at 74. From what I can tell Shadow is in a pretty good place, at least it has been up until 5.1 when supposedly hybrids are going to get some healing nerfs.

Well, I'm back for a bit. Decided to play the expansion and see if I can play the game for fun and not progress.

I do have one question. What is the easiest way to level? I've been playing a paladin for years now and it would actually be fun to try the other classes in PvP and PvE. 85 to 90 seems like it takes a while which is cool, but what about 1-85 these days?

The way quest hubs work now, if you can focus it shouldn't take you more than a couple hours to complete every single quest in a zone. If you have heirloom gear you'll be having to go to a new zone before you get halfway done with the one you're in. This is especially true if you queue for random dungeons while you quest. In your 20's and 30's, the first time you run through a dungeon (including dungeon quests which give crazy xp) you'll probably get 1.5 levels.

Outland isn't much fun though. Northrend isn't either. The old world (low level) zones, Cataclysm zones, and especially Pandaria zones all make for great questing.

Are you going to go Horde or Alliance?

And isn't it about time that Blizzard let RealID or Battletag friends play together regardless of faction? I'd really like to see that. One of the most frustrating things about WoW right now is that I can't play with most 2+2'ers, or a couple of my IRL friends because they're Horde and I'm Alliance. It seems like a very arbitrary means to segregate people. The lore is fun and interesting but it really does take away a lot from the game, imo.

I have no idea what I'm going to play yet. I am going to play through the whole expansion zone and then decide. Flying blind is actually kind of fun.

Leveled a hunter 1-85 in a couple weeks just doing it casually wit rested xp (was a panda so that helps too). But it does not take very long at all really . If you actually tried hard to get it done I can imagine it being done in maybe 4 or 5 days to 85.

My guild just picked up a resto shammy... and oh my god he is terrible.

Only doing half the healing and basically died to almost every boss. This is a guild where bad performance isn't really talked about much, but it got all the healers talking about just how awful the guy is. The loot that he got would have been much better turned into sha crystals -.-

Edit: Logs show that he was out healed by our DK tank on Stone Guard.

I'm in an AB where we have 1 healer and they have 6. A Paladin, Monk, 2 Priests, and 2 Druids. It was neck and neck until the very end and now we're 4 capping. Bizzare. Also frustrating at times.

New guy was sitting while we did heroic garalon and worked on heroic wind lord, then we de side to head over to do normal terrace real quick so he comes in for that. He zones in, we start trash, RL yells at him for doing low dps and wasting time, and then notices that he has ****ing RES SICKNESS. I facepalmed so ****ing hard

There's some kind of bug right now..I zone into Stratholme, get For the Alliance. Someone else in my guild zoned into HoF LFR and got it too.

At least you have the excuse of being a loldruids atm tho

I didn't even know people existed that take rez sickness at level 90, outside of getting stuck in the middle of Org/SW when attacking the city.

He said he was auto flying and tabbed out or walked away or something, and when he got back he was dead way out in an ocean somewhere such that he had to spirit res. I just thought that was absolutely hilarious...even if you have to take res sickness for whatever reason, you should probably say something when the RL says you're gonna come in and you still have 9 minutes left on it, instead of just zone in and hope nobody notices.

I keep refreshing the youtube channel of the guy that does our videos, waiting for Garalon to show up. I want to see what stupid things I did. I essentially caused a .1% wipe two pulls earlier, there's not much worse of a feeling than that. The way the timing worked out, I was the kiter that had pheromones when he transitioned into phase 2 (on heroic, he becomes a normal tankable boss at 33%), so I have to take the pheromones back behind him where there's a lot more room to drop the puddles. There was someone in the way of the path that I had to take, so I hesitated because I only had 4 stacks so I wasn't ready to pass it off yet. And that hesitation caused me to get hit by his cleave. The next kiter had to run through a puddle to take it off my corpse, so he died right as I was being ressed, and mine was the last res. So we were down a dps for the entirety of the burn phase, and wiped at something like 2 million.

Heroic Wind Lord down, 8/16 H, halfway done

I've been doing 2's with a Lock tonight and we started out at 850 rating.

We're 8-29 but we're up to 1100 rating. I expect to be Gladiator after another hundred losses or so.

Got an email today from Blizzard giving me 10 days of game time with a free trial to Mists.

I used to get emails like that going to an old email address, but this one went to my actual blizzard account email and after checking my account, the free trial button is there.

It's tempting, just to try it out, but I uninstalled the game and don't know if I care to wait however many hours for it to download again.

Good week, 3 new heroic bosses: Garalon, Wind Lord, and Will. Now granted, 2 of them were pretty easy, and all 3 of them should've died a lot earlier, but still, good week. 9/16 H now, but lots of hard bosses still to come.

So, we were missing like 7 people last night, so we didn't raid 25 man. We did throw a 10man group together, though, and actually progressed, lol.

Also, yeah, I forgot to hit fraps to record external input, so it doesn't pick up my mic at all. Which is why it seems incredibly awkward that I pulled without a countdown (trust me, I did it!)

Fire got another kick in the nuts with the hotfixes. Half the fun of Fire is seeing what kind of huge Combustion you can build. You don't do great burst damage but if RNG is good to you then all of a sudden you are a god. A 50% nerf on Combustion and 25% crit chance reduction certainly takes some RNG out of it. I don't know how that's supposed to keep Fire in line with the damage it was doing before since nothing else was buffed. Maybe they just left it in a broken OP state when 5.1 hit and always had plans to nerf it. Regardless, I didn't get a chance to test it outside of LFR. This makes the 4th week in a row that my guild is "going to raid." Here's hoping we can at least get to the point where we're pulling Stone Guard.

I've had my reforges set up for Fire up until now. I have my suspicions that Fire is going to feel less fun with the nerf to Crit. It's pretty much a 1 button spec until crits get involved, and in order for Fire to really shine you need strings of crits together. I hate to call Fire boring, but it really is if you're getting bad RNG. Frost is a very busy spec - there's much less downtime where you're spamming your main nuke.

Frost has been working great in PvP so I guess now it's time to try it more seriously in PvE. Might dump the Fire secondary spec altogether and give Arcane a try. Fire wasn't that great for dailies anyway. Not that Arcane is any better, there isn't much argument that it's a Raiding-Only spec. It also has the complete opposite reforge priority as Fire/Frost so meh.

Ya i agree , fire is way to much like arcane now . Spam one button and barely use any others . I liked it so much more when u had to actually make use of ur impacts and all the dots added up in combustions . Made the spec have a much higher skill cap then it doesn now , they made it way to ez mode !

Heroic Will video, not my PoV but it would be a hell of a lot less interesting to watch from a healer PoV anyway.

I honestly couldn't tell you much about our strat, since literally none of it affected what I did, so I wasn't exactly listening most of the time. I know we were CCing some of the rages to wait for more to spawn, to make it more worthwhile to aoe. But I couldn't tell you which ones needed to be CC'd or when to start AoEing or anything like that.
