Following the sagely advice of those on the offricial forums, I've decided to level up 6 pets simultaneously.

I've got with:

Clockwork Gnome - Mech
Dark Phoenix Hatchling - Elemental
Dark Whelpling - Dragonkin
Disgusting Oozeling - Magic
Mr. Grubbs - Beast
Roach - Critter

Yes, I managed to score a rare Roach in the wild, good times. ^_^

Trying to keep my team varied to deal with all sorts of damage types. All the pets selected are rare naturally or rare caught.

What sort of thing are people prioritizing when pet leveling?

I seem to like having a higher speed, means you end up taking one less smack of damage and can save having to blow your 8 minute pet revive so often.

I think this could be a great feature. Making use of all the pets people have collected.

I've barely touched on it yet, beating the Elywyn Forest Master trainer guy but I've been at work a lot.

Does any1 know what sort of rewards Pet Battles will provide, other than achievements?

Title, loads of noncombat pets. Like, I thought the pets you captured wouldn't count toward your total collection, was extremely surprised and pleased to see that they do.

The amount of new pets with this expansion boggles my mind. Or maybe I'm just noticing now.

Any websites dedicated to battle pet information? I've found this will be a decent way to pass some time while waiting in the horrendous RBG queues. I have no idea how to pick pets though to put time into levelling, and some information about OP abilities to look for and stuff would be helpful.

i'm not entirely sure abilities are really that different from pet to pet in the same species or wtf ever it's called.

There are people starting sites devoted to pet battles, but they're pretty new and god only knows how informative they are. Still, warcraft pets seems a good place to find info as always

I thought pet battles were pretty fun but I'm still very very new to it.

In a pvp situation what's to stop people from constantly switching out pets to whatever exploit's the others' weakness which becomes a pet swapping battle until someone takes the disadvantage? That is a train wreck of a sentence but I don't care.

pet battles really are the biggest piece of bull**** in this entire game, and that's saying something

may as well call it "pick the fastest pet or lose 100% of the time battles" or "level one pet to 25, the rest to 5, and play people 10 levels under you all the time battles"

Maybe your bot is broken?

haven't tried it yet, but it's for pve purposes, to gain levels and all
