Raids open tomorrow, should be funny

in to share my experiences raiding with the first guild that would invite me after 5 minutes of searching. i would be surprised if we finished outside top 10 in the world.

Pants and Shield. Need to replace the hands, weapons, and shoulders, too. I've killed world bosses multiple times (no drops, at all). Nothing ever drops for me in randoms.

To put it into context of how bad my luck is, I've been running randoms, with all guildies (so all instant queues) for 10 hours straight, today, and got exactly 2 upgrades, raising my ilvl from 455 to 456. I've gotten a total of 4 upgrades since Saturday, running for at least 8 hours a day.

Finding 4 people to sign a Guild Charter is like pulling teeth...

it's actually not so grim. you're missing a number of pieces, but they're relatively concentrated into a small number of dungeons. scholo and gate of the setting sun both have two pieces. you're in bad shape with the gloves and pants though, those are from end bosses and they're the only things you need from shado pan and the brewery. since you are BS you could make http://www.wowdb.com/spells/122644-m...-forgewire-axe instead of getting lucky in gate of the setting sun. i almost did it myself, but got lucky just today on what was going to be my last visit to that dungeon on this note it's total horse**** what they did to us in these heroics--i think holy paladins might be the only class/spec that has exactly 1 weapon option from all heroics combined.

pretty brutal luck for you so far it sounds like though. i think it's pretty tough to get all the gear you want from these 5 mans. i'm missing 2 pieces myself despite actually having no real life obligations at all this week and doing my best to get everything.

i can haz skyshard x2? 20% of the way there and I'm not even really trying for it..I'm almost definitely gonna just sell it if I somehow do get all 10 of them, it doesn't really look much different at all from the other cloud serpents.

If I don't have blues by tomorrow (when my guild is raiding) that is what I'm going to do, but I've got a full day and a half of grinding dungeons ahead of me still. Hoping to get lucky still, as affording living steel is way out of my range atm (They're still selling for almost 3k per on my server)

edit: goos, that axe actually looks really goot, and I have the mats, will certainly jump on that

I've got 4000 honor and 4000 JP ready to go... just waiting for the servers to come back up and get my pvp gear! Lets go lets go!

Also been stockpiling my last few prospecting batches hoping for a gem rush the next few days, and then again after LFR opens up.

In other news lol at me and my guild. We decided to group up for dailies today. It took us only 20 minutes to knock out all the Klaxxi and Golden Lotus dailies. Soooo much faster

i am making a joke. i came back to the game for mists and have thus far just been doing my own thing without a guild. yesterday i took 5 minutes in trade chat looking for a guild before finding one that would take me. i will be impressed if the raid actually goes off at the scheduled time and there is almost no chance we'll be doing things quickly.

i have also just been doing my own thing when it comes to gearing/talent decisions. having a look at nofear's armory made me get off my ass and actually read about what other people are doing, since there were a lot of differences in our characters. i didn't feel too strongly about my crit > mastery decision and everyone else disagrees, so i'm giving mastery a go. also going to try giving up my beloved sacred shield for eternal flame. i'm not budging from divine purpose though, **** that.

the honor vendor is in the game now. he is near the FP at hellscream's fist in townlong steppes. i strongly recommend everyone check him out. even if you're only interested in pve, the gear is really good and in some cases better than 5 man heroic gear.

Yeah the honor gear is basically on par with the heroic gear, in terms of it's PVE stat value. Actually with the extra gem slots lots of pieces are probably a it better then heroic gear. Plus you can get some set bonuses on top of that which could tip the scale depending on the bonus and whether it applies to pve.

when you kill the sha of anger this week, be sure to loot his corpse and get the quest item for free ilvl476 boots.

I'm assuming i go to townlong steppes, but is there a questline to get into there?

I started Townlong during 77. I did every single quest there (really liked the zone) then went to dread wastes. Mobs suck there.

There should be a quest near the great wall in the Summit zone. South west part of the zone I think that's how I got to Townlong.

I felt like a badass when I solo killed one of those elite Scorpions in mid-southern Dread Wastes.

Once you unlock the city you can just go back to the city and pick up a quest that will take you into your next zone every level. Like the warboard.

Interesting side note for LK. I'm realID friends with Kaer and he been playing D3 this entire time.

PvP gear getting hotfixed (nerfed). They are going to make the gear blue quality and reducing ilevel by 8 points so that heroic pve gear remains the most desirable for pve.

Still, I like the fact that the gap has been closed. Showing up for a heroic with pvp gear isn't going to be a big mortal sin like it was in cata.
