Alliance just tried raiding Orgrimmar. Was so awesome to watch. I guess they only got Garrosh down 100k HP. haha And I think Gamon got involved too.

Yeah, before 80, and flagged, any incidental aoe can probably 1 shot you.

So I just finished my first Cata heroic LFD (can't remember the name but the one with all the centaur-looking mother****ers) and got my ass handed to me on DPS with my newly 85 aff lock. I was usually doing pretty well on 5-mans before I hit 85 in terms of DPS rankings. Is it just that most people doing LFD at this point have way better gear or are there leaks that wouldn't show up pre-85 for that are going to kill my DPS?

All the stats take a pretty significant jump at 85, ie it takes more crit rating for 1% of crit, more hit rating for 1% hit, etc. So that could be part of it assuming you had more or less the same gear. Everyone else might have also just had significantly better gear than you, and when paired with the 15% buff, that'll make their numbers even higher.

Did your personal DPS go (significantly) down, or was everyone else just doing more?

I'm sitting around 8-9k which was close to what I was doing before, maybe even a little highers, others just doing 11-15k

That's probably fine for your gear, I don't know exactly what kind of gear you're in but I assume you're closer to 329 than you are to 359. So it's probably fine, I wouldn't worry too much about it, it'll go up with more gear.

I had something really weird happen tonight.

I was in Blackrock and everything was going fine. We ended up going with 4 guys. One guy, we'll call him J, asked why he was still on <Away>. I told him to type /away and then move. Nothing was said after that.

So we go in and kill Bael'Gar, that stone/lava looking dude. And then all of a sudden my screen shifts. I thought I did something. I tried walking and my camera wouldn't recenter itself.

I try to tell my group to hold up, but I can't type anything. I can bring up the chat window, but I can't type anything. I alt-tab out and still can't type anything on my computer.

I can still cast spells and use my Clique keys and walk, but my keyboard isn't working to type letters. Like I could use WASD to turn and the W made me go into walk-mode, but I couldn't actually use the chat window to type letters. I think that makes sense. haha

So we continue on with the dungeon. And then out of nowhere J sends me a whisper that says something like tf10231021 and then a few minutes later he sends me something else that I can't remember but it was a weird message like "ugh...(whatever he said)." I couldn't type so I couldn't respond.

Then I'm walking down a hallway towards Lord Incendius, J goes offline, and all of a sudden it was like everything unstuck itself. It was like that moment where you're walking through water, come out the otherside and you can move a little faster.

After that I was able to type again. One of the guys in my group thought maybe he was trying a keylogger or something. I don't know. Or he thought maybe someone was trying to keylog J who was then trying to get to us.

The other 2 guys in my group never tried typing so I don't know if they had any problems either.

Any ideas? Anything to be concerned about? I was thinking about sending Blizzard a message to see if they could look into it. I have the guy's name.

That's fairly bizarre. I'd post about it on the tech help forums or the bug forum at least to see if anyone has experienced anything similar.

I sent a ticket to Blizzard last night. I got a reply today that basically said they would look into it and take action.

Either there is something there that happened or it was just some kind of prewritten script. Seemed very generic so I don't know if I'll ever know for sure if something actually happened or if it was a glitch with my computer.

Pugged ds10 on muh dk tank last night. We had this rsham, 365 ilvl, has some 316 blues on and ****, no enchants, no gems, missing several glyphs, somehow this guy was kicking the crap out of the other two healers, who were all about 380 ilvl+, properly gemmed/chanted.. wtf is up with that?

We picked up a pretty good dps from a guild that broke up on our server. Enhance shaman that consistently hits well over 95th percentile according to epeenbot. We're talking like 36k on (normal) Morchok almost a month ago when the 95th percentile line was at 29k, etc. So I'm pretty excited for that.

I upgraded my hard drive to an SSD over the weekend (Crucial M4). Upgraded video card to a GTX 560 Ti, and overclocked my processor from 3.0GHz to 3.5GHz. I bluescreened at 3.6GHz. I'm running a Core 2 Duo E6850.

We'll see how Ultraxion goes this week. I'm tempted to leave all the graphics settings on Ultra, since the GPU should not be the bottleneck. I tried LFR Ultraxion and it said I was getting 25fps even though the game would hang for about a third of a second once every 2 seconds. Before the upgrades I was hanging for half a second every second, worse at the end of the fight, with all graphics on the lowest setting.

I still haven't heard a convincing argument as to why this happens so badly on Ultraxion.

It's still night and day for me if I leave recount on.

Sometimes I have to hop into the interface settings to disable it mid-fight.

It was supposedly originally because of the green crystal buff. Every single heal someone did with that buff would get duplicated and distributed, so that's a lot of numbers, especially in a 25-man. They changed the way it worked, it only duplicates heals over 1500 (I think) and only distributes the healing to everyone else once every second.

Turning off SCT and Recount is supposed to help, maybe try that.
