Heroic Ultraxion
Everything we did was pretty straight-forward. Hero/lust at the beginning and dps pop cooldowns and whatever. Healers hit heroic will so they don't get it here, since we don't need it (though we forgot to hit it again at the end for healers). I popped tree form and did some wrath spamming at the beginning. Doesn't do a ton of damage, but it's still ~350k less that everyone else has to do, and it's not like healing at the beginning is hard.
2 people need to soak each Hour of Twilight in 10-man, and you can only soak every 3rd one because of the debuff you get. We had feral tank and mage (cauterize) soak the 1st and 4th, warrior and DK soak 2 and 5, spriest and rogue soak 3 and 6, and the 7th was supposed to be mage (ice block) and ret (divine shield), I don't know if they did that or not but our warrior also stayed in just to make sure we didn't wipe because of something stupid like that.
Healers were resto druid and resto shaman. I grabbed red, he grabbed green and then blue when it came out. Druid grabbing red is pretty awesome because efflorescence double-dips the buff: swiftmend does 100% more healing, which means efflorescence is going to already be doing 100% more. But then each tick also gets the 100% increase, so my efflorescence is really doing 4x normal.
The really interesting part of our fight imo was cooldown usage, specifically the tanks' (both tanks have 4pc T13). Both tanks hit their cooldowns at the very beginning of the fight, because when they get the buff from Thrall a couple seconds later it refreshes the cooldowns right away. Once it was up again, warrior hit shield wall right away. The timing worked out so that it would be up again for the 2nd hour of twilight. After shield wall comes back up, he's got something like a 10 second window where he absolutely has to hit it again in order for it to be up in time for the 5th hour of twilight. So he's essentially just using it on cooldown at this point.
Feral is basically using frenzied regeneration on cooldown I think. There's not really a need for it early on in the fight, but anything to alleviate some of the healing and pad my meters is more than welcome
But really, he worked backwards in the fight to figure out when he would need to hit it and when he could hit it before then so that it would be up for the end. Right before the 7th hour of twilight is basically as far as we planned cooldowns, since you can't make it much longer past that with 2 healers. And popping frenzied regeneration there buys us probably ~20 more seconds that we could have gone if we needed to (assuming the warrior tank didn't die of course).
Note that, in case you didn't already know this, the buff that the raid gets when the tank uses their 4pc is also doubled on this fight, so that's pretty awesome. 40 seconds of 30% increased healing and 30% increased health on a 90 second cooldown is pretty damn awesome. And 24 seconds of 20% reduced damage from shield wall on a 60 second cooldown isn't too shabby either.
