Re: **Heroic Ragnaros Sweat Thread - November LC**

We haven't got to phase 4 yet unfortunately. People flake out when it comes time for the hard stuff and we haven't put in many attempts.

2-healing H Rag as a Shaman is, well, not fun. Many of the tools in my bag aren't allowed to shine or be used. I'm looking forward to 4.3. I didn't enjoy Firelands. I don't hate Baleroc, but I hate that every healer in my guild has no clue how this fight actually works after 4something months. We 3-heal it.

Do any Resto Shamans have any tips for 10-m healing heroic Rag? Feel free to PM me. Any input is much appreciated.

I play for a 10 man guild, and I also am not happy with the loot distribution. The problem with this tier is that there are only 7 bosses, so that makes the loot pools for each boss really steep. With only 2 items dropping per boss, it takes forever for your heroic pieces to drop. I'd like to see more bosses per patch, and less loot per boss to make it easier for 10-man teams. I really hope they address this issue with MoP. Looking forward to the beta.

lol wat?

Heal torment until crystal disappears. Heal Tank. Once next crystal disappears, heal torment. Sounds like your heals are fail in your guild.

Yeah, it's really bad. The other fights are pretty good, but they don't seem to understand the mechanics. One person still believes you can "steal stacks".

We have the Spriest soak the first Crystal, I spam Healing Surge to get up to around 100-120 stacks, then I switch to the tank exclusively. I don't build any more stacks, but if I see a soaker getting low I throw a heal on them. If someone gets torment (I am back-up in case no one can take it), I simply take over healing their assignment.

The other two healers alternate 1 - 2, Crystal - Tank. We haven't tried 2 healing it after the nerf.

Re: **Heroic Ragnaros Sweat Thread - November LC**

I play a resto shaman as my alt, and I would kill myself if I had to heal heroic rag. Thankfully the alt group I run with is miles away from even considering trying heroic rag, so it's not a problem. I actually saw a forum post yesterday on mmo-champ that some guild did heroic rag with 2 resto shamans for their first kill; talk about masochistic. Our alt run last night turned into a disaster once we got to baleroc. We usually don't have much of an issue with the fight, but this one mage with a touch of downs messed up at least half of the attempts by spreading torment to everyone, blinking around the raid like a retard, moving out of crystals before it expired, etc etc. ungh

We unfortunately didn't bother working on heroic rag this week as we have one guy who couldn't make it, and our pool is too small to pick from, so we just got our lock his legendary and hopefully that will help push us over the 1-meteor edge next week.

I let my laptop dry out overnight and tested it this morning. It seems to be working fine so I think I dodged a bullet there. Hopefully I'll be back in time to raid tonight.

So is there some 2+2 raiding guild? I saw a thread and it was closed, just not sure if people are actively playing together.

If they don't understand how the stacks work, chances are they don't understand how the tank damage works, so I wouldn't even bother trying to 2-heal it. Save the headaches of the tank healer not getting the tank topped off between decimation blades and just keep 3-healing. It's not really necessary to 2-heal it after the nerf anyway since the enrage shouldn't be an issue, so just keep doing whatever's working imo.

If you do want to 2-heal it sometime in the future though, have your spriest soak the 1st and 4th shards. Both healers get to ~100 on the first shard while the tank keeps himself up, then one on tank one on shards. On the 4th shard, have the spriest soak it again but just have 1 healer building more stacks while the other is on the tank. Then the guy with ~180-200 stacks or whatever is on the tank the rest of the fight. Easy peasy.

How do shards work on ten? Does one person eat the whole thing every time?

Re: **Heroic Ragnaros Sweat Thread - November LC**

Well our rotation goes like this (or this is roughly what it was on Tuesday):
1st shard: Spriest soaks
2nd: Ret pally then rogue
3rd: Enh shaman then lock
4th: Spriest
5th: Ret pally then rogue
6th: Enh shaman then lock
7th: Ret then rogue
etc. with the other 2 dps ready to step in if someone has the debuff and can't take it.

At least I'm pretty sure that's how we do it, I'm not 100% sure if after the 4th shard if the debuff falls off fast enough so that we only need 4 people in the rotation.

But no, one person doesn't eat the whole thing every time, that would be way too much to heal through.

Also, only 1 shard spawns in 10-man, not 2 like 25-man

Oh, thought it was still 2. That makes sense.

Anyone watch some of the new raids yet? First new boss looks fun.

Ugh, stupid mistakes on transitions...at least we're consistently getting to the second transition so far

50% of the time we wipe on Sons. The rest of the time we wipe on Molten Elementals.

Re: **Heroic Ragnaros Sweat Thread - November LC**

And now one of our tank has been having connection issues for the past hour and a half, and it's always during an important part of the fight, not while there's nothing for him to do....probably like 75% of our wipes tonight have been because of that, this is really frustrating.
