Re: **Heroic Ragnaros Sweat Thread - November LC**
I'll be happy if I get to see phase 4 before November is over. So far we've only legitimately gotten to phase 3 (as in with a reasonable chance to get through it and see phase 4, not half the raid dead or wiping on the damn transition which has happened at least 3 times now) once in about 100 attempts. I know 100 attempts is nothing for heroic Rags, but it sucks that the phase that's probably gonna take the most practice, we haven't even gotten to yet. And then when we eventually do, we won't be able to consistently get to it. And then when we can consistently get to it, we have to go through the first 9 minutes of the fight each time.
Good news is I think I've figured out a healing rotation for each set of seeds in phase 2 that will keep my side alive. For the first one, I pop tree form and toss around some lifeblooms before they explode, then those blooming + the 15% extra healing from tree form + 15% extra healing after a LB expires is plenty. 2nd set, I wait till I see where the lava waves are going and then hit tranq. This usually gets my side up to full, so even if I slack until each add is dead everyone should still live. 3rd set I just have to brute force since I don't have any more cooldowns. I put rejuv up on everyone before they explode, and put a new one up once they run out. I blow through a good amount of mana by tossing up 10 rejuvs, + 2-3 WGs, but I get a bit of a break once phase 3 starts. So absolutely none of our phase 2 wipes should be my fault anymore
On a side note, this guild's old resto druid is even worse than I thought at first, you wouldn't be able to tell just by looking at hps though. If I have to heal with her much more often, I'm gonna start getting flashbacks of a few months ago....luckily she's not healing (or even dpsing) any of our heroic Rag attempts, she just comes in for bosses she still needs drops from. And she doesn't even get in for those lots of the time. She apparently needs a few of the same things I need though, so I'm gonna be pisssssedd if she gets any of those over me. Especially since her getting an upgrade won't help us progress on Rag at all.

Hell, it will be a miracle if I just see heroic rag before 4.3. I probably won't even be able to look for a raiding guild until December, anyway.

Finally finished maxing my professions (JC/BS). Expensive as hell, and only being able to buy a JC recipe once every 3 days, minimum, sucks.

Re: **Heroic Ragnaros Sweat Thread - November LC**
We got in another 2 hours of heroic rag attempts last night too. First attempt we get to phase 4 with everyone alive, with 1 meteor, 2 tranquilities and an aura mastery and the healers let me die while kiting a meteor, no one told me they were having range issues ungh. Then it all went downhill from there as usual. Pretty much every wipe we had last night was due to the second sons of flame; one of them seemed to get through on almost every attempt
However, most of us have gotten better at avoid engulfing flames with the exception of a healer and our lock. I only took 3 ticks in 11 attempts, like a boss.

I've been working on mine since February, and am about a month away from having every Cata gem cut. It's definitely a long grind.

Are the incoming epic gems gonna need to be cut as well, or will they drop cut, like in tbc?

Something I read (or something I think I read) led me to believe they'll need to be cut, but I could definitely be wrong.

Re: **Heroic Ragnaros Sweat Thread - November LC**
A new gem vendor, Farah Facet, has turned up on the PTR and finally confirms that Jewelcrafting Tokens will be used to purchase the new Epic Gem recipes.
Source: MMO Champion
It'll cost 5 tokens to buy the pattern of your choice or 4 Tokens to buy a Tome of Burning Jewels for a random pattern. According to wowhead there are 66 epic gem cuts. It'll take 264 tokens (on a single character) to buy them all with tomes or 330 to buy them straight up.

Re: **Heroic Ragnaros Sweat Thread - November LC**
I dont really think it will be too big a money maker at first because there likely wont be any on the ah at a reasonable price. All gems will go to players in the raid to be used probably. I think I heard some where that they will be transmutable sometime in the future though, not sure.

Re: **Heroic Ragnaros Sweat Thread - November LC**
Cool got my Jaws of Defeat. Amazing trinket, I don't even notice the 400 spirit I lost from DMC:Tsunami.
I'm wondering if I might save more mana by basically using it on cooldown instead of just when I want to blanket rejuvs or something? Assuming I'll be casting 10 spells in the next 20 seconds of course, which I almost always am anyway.
