Well the debuffs say they do dmg every x.xx seconds (same for both of them) and the dmg done for IS is higher. But yeah, I checked EJ and it says IS then MF/SF, so I'm all confused.

Moonfire is buffed when in Lunar Eclipse, Sunfire is the buffed equivalent in Solar.

I know, its just that the debuff for mf/sf reads '93 dmg every 1.37 seconds' and is reads '125 dmg every 1.37 seconds', so I don't understand why, if both are buffed in solar, sf would always get the ng buff.

Yea nevermind I get what you're saying.

Moonfire/Sunfire scales a lot better with Spellpower than Insect Swarm does as far as I know.

Old thread bump XD

Happened to be browsing guild applications and saw a rogue mention that combat doesn't use rupture anymore. Two hours of research on world of logs later and I'm still not 100% sure of that.

Using Baleroc as a simple, straightforward example, 25H only, seems some rogues have 10-40% uptime while others don't use it at all, like vodka's rogue. Guess i'll be trying some new things over the next couple weeks.

I read somewhere that even a perfect use of rupture in a combat spec is maybe a 1-2% increase in dps.

I play a Shadow Priest in a 7/8 HM Guild and do pretty well. Scaled a hell of a lot better in 4.1 though.

Recently came back to a fire mage after a rather long layoff (since downing LK). That chart in the OP is pretty amazing to me. Did they really let the fire spec sink that low? What happened there?

I'm guessing that fire got buffed since then since I'm doing fairly competitive DPS in LFR with fire. Or is it just that I'm up against mouth-breathers
