Is it worth depositing right now?

This forum is completely clogged with problems and tons of opinions, so I would like to know what people think on this? I really want to deposit but not really ready to go through any software glitches that would become frustrating quickly. So any opinions/suggestions are appreciated.
Fwiw, I also am planning on depositing to other sites (US player) just wondering if it's gotten cleared up enough to play now. Thanks

Re: Is it worth depositing right now?

In my opinion, yes.

There are still problems, and while there have been some fixes, it seems like it is taking too long.

What you don't see posted here are the success stories. In my case, I got a quick reply from Shane, who passed my screenshots on to development. They found the bug and fixed it quickly. I don't know how common that is or isn't, because few people see a reason to post about that.

Just my opinion.

Also, you might want to discredit the opinions of posters with a brand new 2+2 account, theres been a lot of mudslinging going on. There are some regular users who would say "no", but 3/4 of what your seeing on this forum is one or more guys who seem to be trying to drive traffic to merge, or at least away from Lock.

People are confirming they are getting their WU payouts (not just June 2012 reg date posters either )

Re: Is it worth depositing right now?

I deposited on Lock beginning of June and have enjoyed my time so far. They definitely have their fair share of problems, but they are working through them. Their software isn't great, but it's playable and I'm sure upgrades are planned sometime soon. Player rewards are superb, but support could still use some help.

Is there any evidence for this? I mean Im asking earnestly. Just guessing roughly, Id say at least 80% of the issues brought up here have been confirmed either by multiple reputable users or by Lock reps themselves. Have there been any issues over which both the person posting about it was discredited and the issue itself was discredited? Just seems like a bit of a leap to say much of the criticism in here is driven by rival plants.

Re: Is it worth depositing right now?

The the OP's question, I wouldnt want to answer for you, but as an existing player, Im going to continue to play on Lock. The problems are real, and at times frustrating. But there are going to be issues wherever you play as a US-based poker player. If you want to play on Lock, you might consider buying funds on there instead of depositing. If you do play, be prepared for some annoyances. But if you are willing to deal with them, it can be worth it.

At the time that I wrote that, most threads in this forum had a troll working, making ridiculous claims. Yes, there are real issues, some have been resolved, while others seem to linger. I am in no way complimenting Revolution on their launch. But I have seen a sustained effort (25 days and running) to make out and out lies about Lock. Everything from theft, to bans for speaking against them, even sexual harrasment.

This has two obvious effects:

1) It drives traffic to Merge.

2) It keeps the mods busy. The more time/attention Shane spends moderating or defending this subforum, the less time he has to actually respond to emails and resolve issues. That is the underlying motivation, the angle, if you will.

You can come to your own conclusions.

Re: Is it worth depositing right now?

western union cashout was rec'vd in a timely manner just over a week, most of the software issues seem to be resolved, and the player pool is pretty soft. I would reccomend using the WU cashout method over courier check as the take over a month on avg

Re: Is it worth depositing right now?

Have never had a problem depositing until today. My visa transaction was denied on Lock and also tried to deposit on RPM with no luck. I know I have enough available funds to facilitate the deposit. Wondering if banks are cracking down more.

I would like to say I deposited on Lock earlier in June via WU and the only problem I had was a small issue with the bonus which Shane cleared up very quickly. Also, the games are pretty good and while the software isn't the best, its not bad by any means. I enjoy playing on Lock.

I think anyone who plays in the US needs to understand that it comes with risks and you need to weigh those risks before you decide to play.

Thanks for all replies. To this post, if I put money on through a transfer would I still be bonus eligible or not?
If anybody could point me to a forum explaining the WU transaction or explain it briefly here that would be awesome as well. Getting going this afternoon so just want to button-up the last few issues before starting to grind.
