What is Lock's policy on reimbursing players who have been cheated/colluded against? What is Lock's policy on reimbursing players who have been cheated/colluded against?

Last night I was playing a "Grind For Glory" SNG, and there were 2 players who were obviously cheating and working together. Both players were from the same town in AZ. The chip dumps at the bubble were so blatant. For instance, in one hand, one of them was down to 4 BB, but the other would raise 2.5 BB and then fold when his partner shoved. One of them went on to win the tournament.

I sent support the usernames, the Tournament#, as well as a hand# in which the chip dumping was blatant. Since this was a GFG table, everyone was a Lock player. I recieved a standard email, telling me that this had been forwarded to security, and to be patient.

Now, I did this once before, about 4 or 5 months ago, in an equally blatant situation. I never heard back, nor was given any compensation. I know that on other sites when this happens, the cheating players are removed from the placement list, and any players who are moved up in prize money are then paid accordingly.

My question is: What is Lock's policy regarding these situations? Having placed 2nd, should I expect to be awarded 1st place prize money at some future date?

Basically, you did your part. You let Lock Security know, but Lock won't be able to let you know the outcome of any investigation like this. You will probably not receive any compensation, but if you do I imagine some % would be sent to you( not directly 1st place compensation) but Lock won't be able to explain what is behind the %.

I have asked Lock about this in the past and brought a chip dumping situation to them, but I won't know the outcome of it. I did get messages back regarding it, but just letting me know it was/has been investigated but I won't be able to know any information regarding it.

I tried to get an exact answer, like you are here, but I was told it was impossible to give one. Even a generalized answer could not be given.

To update, I recieved this email:

We have credited your account the win for the tournament and will be ensuring the individuals responsible are dealt with accordingly. Wow, great to hear. Great job to you as well for catching these guys.

Nice

I don't understand why Steven and other Lock members couldn't give me any information in some cases... must be favorites or something. I provided them with a lot more information in cases and was not able to get any important information back. Not even a theoretical of what happens with fraudulent money on there.

Did you get the amount of first place credited or an amount less but that added with your 2nd place equals first place?

The amount was the difference between 2nd and 1st.

I would guess that this got resolved quickly because as I said it was blatantly obvious what these two were doing, it wasn't just one hand, it was several.

I don't say this often enough. Way to go lock!

Interesting, the reason I'd asked is because I've seen a couple of the sn's from people who've lost their accts here for scamming; was curious if cheater's accts' got closed or if maybe they only got a warning or something.
