What happened 07/08/12 What happened 07/08/12

Dear Lock Poker,

What happened 07/08/12? Anyone playing with "real money" on your site is entitled to a full explanation as to what went wrong with your software leading to the cancelation of many tournaments. Furthermore, I would like you all to explain why you canceled the tournaments when you did. Many of us feel the cancelation of tournaments was quite tardy.

Please don't respond with a generic email of your MTT cancelation policies. I'm literate and comprehend them.

LOCK POKER NEEDS TO WORK ON ITS COMMUNICATION WITH ITS PLAYERS.

TRANSPARENCY FTW!

Should of canceled the shyt 4 hrs earlier. Those with the severe lag/disconnect had no chance by the time refunds were given. I would of had better odds making money by giving brad booth my money for a fkn blackjack tournament. Absolute bs

Why won't one of the Lock poker represenatives respond to any emails. Are they trying to cover up they stole money from people.
07-09-2012 , 06:08 PM
yea i only put 150 on there...started playing 20nl HU and saw how horrible the rake was and just played in a couple 30Rebuys donking off the rest of the money...

The client is a joke.

The support is even worse. I can't get my cashier to load half the time anyway.

I think I still might have a little cash in there, and I don't even care.
Sometimes the lobbies will just go blank for hours during tournies, giving no updates...

I could complain for hours, but what is the point?
07-09-2012 , 06:28 PM
id like a refund for all the tourneys that were interrupted during the day 4-8pm

and i think people who busted tourneys during the first and second lagfreeze should be compensated some how

Lock really should be responding to this. Also, since this is the second time this sort of thing has happened since the crossover, they really should also have a better plan and process for when it does happen.

lol its now July 10 and no response.. Run for the hills... i'd be getting my money of Lock as fast as humanly possible.

Merge did the same thing with their software upgrade and people are still waiting for refunds... We're out of luck with all the networks when it comes to this stuff. We need some regulation and legal ipoker.

i was refunded for every game by BCP, not sure about other skins.. all though i had a instance a few weeks ago where a game never popped up(SNG) and i was blinded down to 500 chips before noticing.. still waiting on a refund on that one, keep getting the run around.

I've found that I'm somehow re-registered for the 100K for Sunday. Anyone else in the same boat?
07-10-2012 , 02:19 PM
SOLIDARITY BUMP: I wasn't involved but I do find it bizarre and concerning that Lock hasn't responded yet. If nothing else they could at least say they are looking into it and will announce a resolution soon. Seems obvious they made a mistake by not cancelling earlier and are now between a rock and a hard place. Players who made it to the money want their equity share and those who did not make it want a refund ... no way to please everyone but that doesn't justify silence.

My guess is they were asked not to comment yet. They have been pretty helpful up until this point. I'm hoping they will communicate with us shortly about all of this.

a couple of weeks before this happened, i was kicked off their software in the middle of a big hand at a cash table, a hand that I was guaranteed to be a winner at showdown.

when I sent the HH, told them what happened, and how their software booted me from the site, and give me the money I was screwed out of; they sent me an email a week later saying that there was no issue with their site. But I got booted.

that is how lock poker treats their customer.

i'm giving it till friday for an explanation on this..and also a response of the refunds i asked for..if nothing i'll be done playing here..despite giving the site the benefit of the doubt.... i'm starting to wonder...i'll just play on black chip

Ya sng didn't get refunded my roomate is still owed ~$300 there.

As far as intertops goes in their TOS they aren't required to give refunds for software failures, so I'm not expecting a refund for the donkament I was in.
07-11-2012 , 08:46 AM
Hi

Yes according to our TOS we are not required to give refunds for software failure. This because we are paying for the network service at Revolution and they are responsible for the software. However, we always work for our players and we try to help those Intertops players who think they deserve a refund.

Best regards,

The Intertops Poker Team

So there is never going to be any Lock statement on what happened and what is being done to reduce the chances and impacts of it happening again? This is (at least) the second time something like this has happened; one would hope after the first time Lock had put some contingency plans in place for if it happened again, which apparently they did not. At this point, they really should be at least working on how to mitigate the impact if and when there is another service failure, but the fact that they don't address the issue in the forum makes me leery that they are not addressing it at all.

Even a statement saying they can't tell us anything yet because they are still figuring out how to make things right for everyone affected (like those who lost chips during the lag and busted before cancellation) would be something. Much better would be a clear explanation of what their current (hopefully new) policy on how they deal with these things is.

My wife registered for the 100k guranteed on sunday night, during the first break. Her account was debited $109. The table never loaded, the lobby was stuck and she never even played a hand. It's going on five days and still no answers. Rizen did help me out by forwarding an email that I sent him.
07-13-2012 , 12:28 PM
Why wont Rizen publicly post and at least give us an idea of how long we can expect their company to be ran like this.

If they truly care, someone will say something soon, these threads are getting pretty bad.

And I am not even the one starting em' anymore, more people getting upset.....reminds me of the fulltilt ship as it sank.

Slowly more and more will come to the forefronts and complain.

In a week or two we MIGHT get a press release if this is anything like Fulltilt....
They keep the site going to generate more rake obv. FT did the same thing, keep everything "running" as long as possible, but even FT didn't steal deposits. They at least let the players play with the monies the owners ran off with.

so is it safe to play there sunday or swim at your own risk?
07-13-2012 , 01:47 PM
I'd say we're definitely in the "swim at our own risk" category. Lock/Revolution has still not publicly acknowledged and explained these problems and this is not the first time something like this has happened. We have no reason to believe it won't happen again, just no idea when.
