Weekly Wednesday 2+2 users' Lock Deep Stack Tourney Thread! Weekly Wednesday 2+2 users' Lock Deep Stack Tourney Thread!

Im out early, played poorly and ran bad. We did mention adding late reg. next week.
11-21-2012 , 09:46 PM
Already decided next week we will have late reg...haha. Having a blast right now despite it only being 4 players (one is out - three left currently).

2nd break status...lol

I am acefiveo, and no I wasn't trolling lol. Its strange I regestered a couple days ago the unreged yesterday BC I couldn't make it. Wonder why it does that
11-21-2012 , 10:19 PM
Wow looks like it registered me... enjoy my ten bucks lol
11-21-2012 , 10:21 PM
Nope - only registered 4 for $40 pool. Wondering who the heck that was though...lol.

And even though I did WIN the inaugural tournament...haha...don't let it discourage you folks from coming back next week.

STL: It had you in and out so many times this afternoon I think you broke the lobby...haha.

Big winner...haha. $9 profit. Better to win the first one when the player total is probably the lowest it will be.

Great game though. Very solid play. We talked about a few different things - most notably that we will definitely have late reg open next week, and we'll probably do 12 minute blinds instead of 15. Like the chip total (7,500 to start) where it is, and hopefully, with a slightly larger turnout, should run just a smoothly.
11-21-2012 , 10:35 PM
I'll be in the next one
11-21-2012 , 10:38 PM
If it wasn't a holiday weekend I'd be down to hold one sooner. Best to just go with next Wednesday and play it by ear from there. I'll post here when the tourney's up for reg.
11-21-2012 , 10:46 PM
GG everyone, GL next week.
11-22-2012 , 02:23 AM
Yes. It was a good game. I really like the structure, not being able to afford the higher buy-ins for such games--yet.

I especially appreciated the fact that the chat was cordial and not filled with trash talk and whining about how the game is rigged. (Although I have my suspicions about Skyward94's "lucky" run. LOL!)

HAHA...and I was half asleep during the latter stages. As I said in the game, if I ran that good all the time, I'd be making a living as a poker player.
11-22-2012 , 11:49 AM
Well - already set up next week's game. I'll repeat this again as we draw closer, but here is the info for our next tournament!

Open Lock - go to Tournaments, then select the "Private" tab.

We should run a poll for full ring or six-handed tables, or run it on and off.
11-22-2012 , 06:49 PM
Might hit this up if I'm free one of these Wednesdays. I think bringing it down to 12 minute blinds and adding some late reg is probably for the best. Nutz won the first one I see, omg so rigged! Ha ha, just kidding buddy, well done, see if you can keep up the streak. Who won it yesterday?
11-22-2012 , 07:12 PM
Umm....haha. Yesterday was the first one. Yeah I really think the structure fits my game. Almost like a live tournament. Patience is rewarded. Ran really good though - doubt that happens every week.
11-22-2012 , 07:52 PM
Count me in, assuming I don't have to work late.
11-23-2012 , 10:44 AM
Already have 3 signed up and we're 5 days away from the game. Awesome!
11-23-2012 , 09:31 PM
Do you have the option to set these up as Bounty tournaments?
11-23-2012 , 09:36 PM
I do - might be something worth doing once we get a steady player field. I don't know if I can single out bounties, though (ie: like putting one on me). I think I would have to pay for that if I understand how it works. Overall, though, I'm a little hesitant to put gimmicks on the games...kinda like a straight tournament. However, I cannot control side action should it occur.
11-23-2012 , 09:48 PM
Typically, bounty tournaments put 25% of the buy-in aside as a bounty on each players head, and then 75% goes into the prize pool. Since everyone has a bounty on their head, it tends to create action. Gives an incentive to loosen your game up a bit, especially if a player is shortstacked. Maybe down the road, if we get more players, we can ask if anyone is interested.

Yeah that's my hesitation at the moment. One game with 4 players really hasn't created an "atmosphere" just yet. It's a start though.
11-26-2012 , 12:12 PM
Alright folks! Reminder that we are a little more than 48 hours away from our weekly game! Note that we have made some slight changes for this week (12 min blinds instead of 15, and added 60 mins worth of late reg instead of zero). Hope to see a bunch of folks on Wednesday night!

Open your Lock software, sign in, and click "Poker"/"Tournaments". Then click the "Private Tab" and we're right there.
