Updated mac software? Updated mac software?

06-08-2012 , 09:49 PM
Hey lock team,

I'm seeing a lot of lock poker pc screen shots and I'm a bit frustrated that the lock poker mac version looks like something developed using windows 95. Is a new rollout for mac users in the immediate future? Theres a few problems with this software that make multi-tabling borderline torture . Sorry if this comes off a bit harsh, but it's extremely awful compared to the other version.

Its all terrible, but I have no prob 20+ tabling on a Mac... just gotta get used to it and the little bugs (like the tables improperly popping up or NOT popping up about 5% of the time)

Don't forget trying to not have a seizure during ur session.

Yeah. The mac version sucks. What's frustrating is going from playing on my office pc during the day, and having to come home at night and play on the mac version, as I keep a mac only household. 2 MacBook pros and an IMac. And yes, I play poker at work....

I couldn't even play four tables on my Mac desktop. Way too painful. Invested ~$100 on Parallels (free Win8 trial for a year) and it worked like a charm. Worthy investment if you can afford it.

+1 if your set on playing on a Mac. Maybe in a few months a native Mac client is running but the wine port is unplayable imo.

+1
I am currently trying out the free trial of Parallels and Windows8 and so far it looks so much better. Performance wise I am still testing it out but it definitely seems to be the way to go until they fix their Mac version.

I'm also wondering when a reasonable Mac version will be available. I made a Lock account after Merge rolled out their abomination of an "upgrade," but the Lock software for Mac is the worst thing I've ever played on. It's kinda shocking how bad it is. I'm not really inclined to pay for extra software to run Windows just so I can play on Lock, so now I'm stuck waiting around for you all to roll out updates/patches/WTFever, because right now BOTH Merge and Lock software are unplayable.

You guys would happily be getting all of my business if you make a Mac client that works and doesn't suck ****, and I'm sure there are a quite a few other Merge "refugees" who would flock over here too!!

After getting used to the windows 95 software, I am able to play 10 tables. But doing this Polly puts me in the high risk category for seizing out and swallowing my tongue. Please god be close to an upgrade

so i am not gonna rebuy on merge, is there any point spending it on lock if i use a mac?
06-15-2012 , 07:42 AM

Has anyone tried to using headphones while playing? It seems that the volume shuts off on Lock Poker card rooms when I connect mine. Anyone else have this problem? I'm using a MacBook Pro.

Man I just checked out merge's updated mac software. Wow it felt like I was playing on full tilt again compared to revolution. Please put the rush delivery on lock's mac software.

I don't know if the lock reps read this at all but the terrible mac software is the ONLY reason I don't play on Lock.
