Unable to connect to remote server? Unable to connect to remote server?

I can't seem to log in, or even run the client. I get a message that says "Unable to connect to remote server. Please check your internet connection, firewalls, and access permissions."

My internet connection is fine, and I haven't changed any settings on my computer. I waited 15 minutes and tried again, same results.

Anybody else?

It seems to be working fine for me. I logged out and then logged back in with no problems. I closed out the client and then re-opened it with no problems. I am on a PC.

I have heard there were some problems with the Mac software over the past week, but I think those were all resolved.

Thanks. I'm also on a PC. I hope I can get this resolved in time for the $100K, which I'm pre-registered for.

Got it. Norton updated virus defenitions earlier today and was blocking Lock.

Do you have Norton running?

What I did (which I am in no way recomending, but it worked for me):

I cleared all my cookies, and restarted my computer. Then I turned my firewall off, loaded the Lock client, and imediately turned my firewall back on.

Later I will figure out how to remove the new virus defenition that was/is blocking Lock.
