I don't get it. You want them payout the Tourney King spots based on the end of the month standings and not have the tournament?

I'd much know that I can finish top 250 and have a shot at getting 1st place money than to have to grind my ass off for the entire month, play great and run well to get the same prize. The structure as is allows you to qualify and play in a mtt with a decent amount of money up top. I'd much rather get top 20 each month and be able to play for the full prize pool than to get $100 tickets every month for finishing between 10 and 20.

Yes that is exactly what i'm proposing. Or even a compromise. For instance, pay half of the prizepool at the end of the month based on standings and then run the tourney for the other half.

It is not difficult to make Top 250. Like not even a little difficult. How it works now has too much variance involved. I am totally fine with them changing the calculation method too. I just don't think it's wise for them to run it this way when they could get loads more rake off of a normal leaderboard promotion.

I play a degenerate amount of poker at the small stake level and I've never missed a low limit tourney king final but I consistently feel like the system is flawed. I'm appreciative of the promotion and the extra cash but I would play even more if I knew I could track my progress realtime rather than roll my eyes at the irrelevance of the leaderboard standings.

It's awkward and gimmicky and i have no idea why they turned their back on the traditional method. Seems suboptimal.

Also the lack of notification about dumping the monthly tourney king in march for the maximus tourney king is so ridiculously tilting. WHY EVEN POST THE LEADERBOARD IF IT'S MEANINGLESS!!?? ****!!!!

Tomorrow you'll start bitching about not having a medium tourney king, then about no PLO tourney king, then eventually about not having a turbo tournament king. Stop complaining when the promotion offered is more than reasonable and pretty well in line with how most sites reward tournament grinders. You know, with freerolls (the term equity comes to mind in case you want to learn something new).

Bottom line, rewards do not have to be cash value. There are alternatives. Equity, merchandise, etc.

To correct you, I'm not complaining like a 5 year old because of anything Lock is doing or refusing to do. This is a network wide promotion. It could very well be that Rizen and the others at Lock agree that it should be changed. I'm merely using the lock forum to express my views because I think Lock customer service is superior to the other skins.
