I was looking up people at my table and realized this guy has just started playing 8 days ago on April 9th 2013 and is up over 3k. He has won every high stakes game he plays($100 up to $1000) but then plays 1 dollar games and loses more often than not. Something just felt a little sketchy and I figured it wouldn't hurt to have it looked into.

Thanks.

obv should stick to high stakes
04-17-2013 , 10:36 PM
Possibly trying to keep himself in Mid Fair Play tier by losing some low-stakes games? Not sure if it works, he may not be sure either, but wouldn't surprise me if it's something a lot of players are trying to do.

^^ FP doesn't effect SNG's but love that theory re: cash games. Definitely could see people doing that.

Given that $2,615 (after rake) of holykings $3,503 in profits is from holypoker72 it seems more than likely he was chip dumping to himself and his attempts are in the [ x ] failboat category for not being smart about it.

LOL wow good looking out. ya id say its more likely that holypoker72 is the same guy

Well, assuming he was never going to use either account again, and factoring in vig % on Lock right now, he had a coinflip in equity going into this to break even. Anything higher than that = chip dump ftw. We obviously need to discount some of our equity for the fact that not every 2p2 trade would likewise pan out.

I'm sure many have done this and it's a big reason why Lock is supposedly on the negative side of the reconciliation reports w/ payments to other skins on the network.

Thanks for posting this, Ive sent it over to our security guys so they can take a look.

just a guy trying to get his money off lock. nothing to see here.
04-19-2013 , 11:42 AM
The guy clearly moves up where people respect his raises

Any update on this? Holykings is sitting at 10NL table right now

This is normal, people lose a few sng, goes on tilt, stick his roll on a high stakes game and win... or maybe he found out hes not getting paid anything soon and be like **** it- get rich or go broke.
04-19-2013 , 08:16 PM
clearly cheating - hes back to 5 dollar games to keep his profile down - soon he will strike again for his huge 2k payday! watch out for the cheaters!

Noobie question:

What is a chip dump? I'm picturing a player giving money to another by going to a poker table and folding a hundred thousand dollars over to him. If that's what it is, why is it a problem?

I took this from Jah Onion on 2+2, gotta give credit where credit is due...

Let me Google that for you

What I see today in the SNG lobby, new chip dumping duo.... could they seriously be more obvious? They've already dumped another 5 or so games since I posted this too lol.

ROFL, you'd think if they're going to be obvious about it, don't waste your time and just dump all but 1 chip of your stack preflop and have one person shove and you fold.

My two posts should help you understand what a chip dump is now.

nothing is really wrong with the act itself. its more the reason why ppl would need to do it. like if you are underage or have many accounts or the money you used is from a stolen credit card so you have to dump the money to legitimate accounts to get it off the site.

also in locks case they probably dont want money going to other sites on the network that have fast cashout times.

Its pretty common to loose 10 out of 15 sitngos its called variance
04-22-2013 , 07:10 AM

Whatever happens now won't get posted here since it's general practice for poker sites not to share actions taken by the security team.

Losing 10 out of 15 would be a pretty bad ROI lol.
