Shane on allegations from Dan Druff, based on a Lock inside source, that Lock took its poker pros on a lavish retreat in Portugal when players were waiting months for cash and the company was in crisis:

Explanation for why he won't tell us how many payments went out recently:

I understand people are frustrated about the cashout times, but for some reason i need to be multiple people's target dummy / punchbag?

Very pety..

You have no idea why this sort of stuff is directed towards you? It is because you are the most visible person on this forum who gets special treatment from lock. I wait half a year for 3000 dollars, you can cash out tens of thousands of dollars in the same amount of time.

Brilliant!! Such an embarrassment for lock.. How is there still traffic!?!?

I don't understand why you get off on displaying this. It really comes across to some of us the wrong way. It's almost as if you're rubbing it in our faces that you're getting paid and we're not. I didn't personally read the previous comment as being a bash to you as an individual, more of a bash against Lock for paying selective players.

And while as I've said before, of course a company will play favorites and pay someone quicker who is raking them more, even if they paid you out in 3 months, that'd still be quicker than most of us. They're not paying us at all, not just later than you. And someone else ALSO stated in another thread that they were a top 5 raking player for months in a row and are still waiting 3+ months for their withdrawal. So your situation is pretty isolated. And instead of posting happy faces and displaying how you're being paid, show a little more compassion and try to keep that to yourself. I can't see how anyone would take your attitude in a positive way. I don't blame you for getting money sooner, but I'm not a fan of you reminding people of such in the ways that you do.

The irony is this Shane thing is not really significant, he is more akin to this dude:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muhammad_Saeed_al-Sahhaf

At some point after Lock implodes he will appear to try to clear his name and his role as the puppet, but nobody will take him seriously at that time.

That is pretty much his destiny, the only question remains is how much current Lock players are willing to continue losing to get there.

Still, amusing thread.

Does it make sence to compare US players with ROW players?

I didnt like having to mislead the community but it was more important that we didnt publicise the fact that our management and partners were all meeting together. This was no different to the first retreat a couple of years ago, the details remained secret till after the event.

Clearly you could have been referring to Portugal Street, London, United Kingdom. Not once did you mention the "country" of Portugal.

Looks like the formula is still in place. "Cashout times have improved and will continue to do so as xyz happens"

Here some insight on Lock payment processing.

You need to picture Jen in front of a massive wall that is split in 3 sections. Right across the top of the wall there is a massive "pending cashouts" sign followed by three rows labeled 2012, 2013 and... 2014.

Each row is plastered with little post-its that read stuff like "$500 skrill cashout, Player ID HammerMan72 to xxx@yyy.com"

Now usually those cashouts are processed oldest to newest but a few months ago the window was open and a massive breeze came through and some of the post-its fell of the wall. Since those are not dated big confusion started as to which row the fallen post-it stickers belonged and hence they were picked up and stuck in random order wherever there was place to put them.

Since that day Shane makes great efford to figure out the ones that were from 2012 but got stuck back on 2013 in order to get them processed.

Hmmm... would be much more funny as a video... lol

Probably not too far from the truth love it! I could actually imagine them having a pin up board with a bunch of post-its with names and $$$ amounts. C'mon Shane let's get this backlog cleared so we can start taking some constructive lines towards the business!!

Yeah me too. Maybe the fact that they are moving into a new office made things slow down again (ehm). Someone missplaced the box with the post-it's from the old office...
